You have a MY25? i thought it's a new TSB for the 25s... i had it to on a 21 4S and the dealer couldn't get the parts, got the wrong parts and then the lease ended..

2023. Perhaps I misread this TSB. A control unit was replaced

This update also brings slightly improved/clearer image on reverse camera, according to my service guy.

In 2020-2024 cars that have this issue they replace the Assistance System Control Unit Hardware with this H11 also. Additionally they will change your cameras and whole wire harness also, to match 2025 cars.

Looks like this is going to be me.
Unless it's just a problem with how the body shop hooked the front camera back up after they discovered that a wire needed replacing.

If the first visit for the first countermeasure is successful, sounds like that is going to take days, and will require a wait ahead of that for the parts, since even just a couple pics of the intermittent problem triggers replacement of all four surround cameras, front & rear bumper harnesses, both front door harnesses (containing coax cable), both side-view mirror harnesses.

On the positive side, I suspect this will result in making my Safe-Guard VSP already pay off for itself!

I talked with the body shop tech today.
He is confident the add'l work will be covered under the original collision claim.
So no add'l deductible from me (whether to the body shop or the dealer vs Safe-Guard), and I also don't have to drive it to the dealer for the calibration work.
(I wouldn't be surprised if the body shop owner drives it there, since he's a 911 guy!)

As for what the add'l work entails, something about the camera, module, etc.
One of those things where if one camera goes, then all of them go wonky.
(Oddly enough, I experienced something similar when I swapped in a full-size spare sans sensor -- at first the other three pressures displayed just fine, same as with our i4 in the same situation, then no pressures were displayed.)

He provided a rough estimate that similar Porsche camera repairs have been $12k to $15k.
So glad I have the Safe-Guard VSP in case something like this happens in the future!
(And hope USAA doesn't raise my rates, ugh -- that minor deer hit back in late Sep sure set in motion something far beyond the original damage that was apparent ... although perhaps the hit was good, since otherwise the camera system might have failed anyway, then I'd have to take it down to the dealer?)

So the body shop had it for three weeks straight, and received $2,553.35 from USAA.
I talked for probably a cumulative couple hours with the technician.
Some of the delay was for an appointment at the Porsche dealer for a calibration appointment that never became available.
But they found another shop that could do that work.
As I suspected, instead of a flatbed tow, the owner drove it there and waited -- apparently, despite being a 911 guy when I chatted with him once (mainly about his ski race coaching though), he was suitably impressed (as was the technician who drove it a couple miles to my house and kept raving about it).

Bottomline though, is no improvement.
Sometimes, rarely, all cameras in the 360 view will work.
Often, none.
Sometimes, a baffling combination will work.

They handed off to a stack of paper, mainly related to their work on TSB 2208.
I suspect that when I eventually take it to the dealer -- perhaps not until the summer, when I'm driving less frequently, since this fix could take a month -- the fix will be TSB 2410, which essentially, all sorts of different things could be the problem, so just replace all of them -- four cameras and six harnesses -- then if the customer still complains, replace the control units and all six connector housings.
And after that, eventually, when the car hits 100k two years from now and exhausts the after-market VSP coverage, sell for BMW iM3 Touring, or, if not available, then iX4 M and pretend that instead of a squished-bug SUV it's somehow just a slightly bloated wagon.

So now, over the past couple weeks, the cameras have been ... functioning absolutely flawlessly. (Well, okay, so the view isn't great, but about, as flawlessly as they were designed to function.)
Partway through all the 360-degrees cameras back to normal, I received the recall letter for the rear camera.
I probably won't bother until the summer. I wonder if after that software update the problem will return?
