My 2020 Taycan Turbo 12V died. Took delivery in March. Similar case: Plugged in to Porsche mobile charger with 59% SoC, profile set to 85% by 4:30 am, dead upon arrival next morning.

Thanks for this thread! Helped a lot getting my Taycan going in an underground parking lot.

My Taycan has been at the dealer 2 weeks now and counting...they asked me if my wheel was straight (it was).

I am certainly very saddened to hear of people still seeing this issue. I have not, but also I have only charged at home once I must say. I do EA charging but generally only to 70-80%.

I was in Costco Saturday and saw this, only $37 for a charger that also supports LiFePO4.
Thought that me be of interest to some. I am personally just keeping fingers crossed for updates.

Update: Got my March Delivery 2020 Taycan Turbo back from the dealer after 3 weeks 12V issue. The remedy prescribed to me is a new Porsche Mobile Charger. Apparently, there is a setting in my charger that keeps my Taycan awake, thus draining the battery. My dealer had the Porsche mobile charger connected to the Porsche HQ mainframe and they were not able to remote update the settings in the Porsche Mobile Charger, so they gave me a new one. No service was done to my car as all previous warranty bulletins were applied. Let’s see how it goes!

Don:
Remind me, have you had one battery replaced or two? Did you get your Porsche Mobile Charger changed? Do you let your car monitor the inside when you shut it down?

Me?
I had my battery replaced twice. 1st time was because of damage to the version 1 battery due to being drawn flat too many times (6 or 8?). It was replaced with another version 1 battery because version 2 wasn’t out yet. Then, when version 2 was available, they upgraded me.

No, my mobile charger was never identified as a culprit (because I rarely used it).

Yes, my car always monitored the inside. (Movement Alarm).

I'm assuming that your is now completely fix, it that correct? Did they ever give you a definitive reason or just changed several things and it could have been any one of them?

Ummmm... I don't think mine ever was completely fixed. Because even after all the "fixes" I still had it happen once. And others had it happen too. Or something very similar. It's possible that there were multiple bugs lurking.

(...and I sold it a couple months ago... so someone else has it now. Not sure who.)

So you traded it in? Sorry to hear that. Was the trouble getting to you?

Add to the list... just towed mine to the dealership. This thread helped get it there! Charged up yesterday like normal, this morning no unlock when I walked up and was totally dead.

Curious to see what comes back...
Sorry to hear. Definitely keep us posted.

Went to my 4S this morning and found it completely dead and no way to open the doors. The PCM and app stopped working 3 weeks ago so nothing to look at either.
Tried the mechanical key and this opened the lock but not the door. Eventually called Porsche Assistance who sent the AA (U.K.) out to it. Tech found that he needed pliers on the key to turn the lock far enough to open as initially he couldn’t open it either. Went through dead battery process and got the car started; however, to charge the 12V I need to drive the car, but need to charge the car first, but been advised car needs to be off to charge? - catch 22. Been driving the car for a few miles now, with no lights, heating, radio and 12V is losing power before my eyes.
Porsche service department were meant to ring me straight back but 1.5 hours later still nothing.

Big battery charges little battery when you’re driving.

EDIT: Sorry misread your post. Yes, if your big battery is near dead, and driving isn’t an option, then that’s def a catch 22 scenario.

You don't need to drive around and waste valuable range. When I turn my car on I see the small battery go from 13v to 13.4 in a matter of seconds before I even start driving so I assume it is being charged as long as the car is ON.
