Anyone else track the value of their car on WBAC or similar?

I traded-in my j1.1 MY 2022 4s CT a few months ago.
I had several WBAC email valuations beforehand and still get them.
Interesting to see the changes over time.

2024 Sep, £46,800
2024 Nov, £51,485
2025 Mar, £44,460
2025 May, £40,550
2025 Jun, £32,110
2025 Jul 11, £43,925
2025 Jul 17, £44,770
2025 Aug 14, £44,770

Good news is that after a woeful market in June, prices seem to have improved somewhat and for now seem to have stabilised.
And WBAC low-ball, so this should hopefully be a worse-case by a reasonable margin.

I don't track my j1.2 to avoid feeling depressed :)

Are you happy to share what you actually got for it and when? That will help compare WBAC to true value

I traded it in, so the cost to change was the important bit.
So, I could probably have got more for mine, but then I may have got less off the new one.
Sold for £51k.

Which month was that? If Nov 24 then the same as WBAC. Although more convenient to trade

March 25.

Found another couple of WBAC prices which I've added to my original post.

WBAC valued mine at 51k this week.
Traded in for 1.2 gen for 65K and 10k discount on the new car.
My CT has 7k miles on the clock. Might be the reason of a better valuation? Or the discount on a new Taycan is 20k?

To answer the opener, no.

I have no interest in what it could sell for as I'm not selling. If I want/need to sell later, I'll have other things on my mind.

Life's too short.

Until you want/need to sell it
If you want to sell it you just made a bad investment, like all modern high-end cars are, still no one is forcing you to sell it.
If you need to sell it you couldn't afford the car anyways.

@ct4s, are you planning on selling your car and trying to time it? Otherwise, why would you want to know how your car is depreciating over time? Taycan is in a luxury sedan category, so assume 50% depreciation after 3 years as a rough estimate. That has been a rule of thumb for decades now when it comes to luxury sedans or SUV's (hell, even non-RS/GT 911's depreciate similarly). Taycans additionally suffer from the fact that they tend to be option heavy, and options generally depreciate 100% in about 4-5 years, while the base trim price depreciates slower (so if buying a Taycan for resale value, buy base trim, no options - that will get you lowest depreciation).

Cars are not investments folks. The few collectible exceptions are just that, exceptions to the rule. You'll be much happier if you assume 50% MSRP after 3 years, and you're ok with it. Otherwise, buy a base Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic (no options), that should keep you moving inexpensively. A used Tesla Model 3 might be even better per mile if you do a lot of miles and have home charging.

I don’t want to sell it. But it is unlikely that I will keep it forever and therefore will want to sell it one day

Why keep on checking the resale values, unless you're ready to sell?
