I thought it was strange that Honda was A-listed but still not Acura. I imagine that it is something along the lines of VIN lists although it's too bad they didn't start with the easy one like Porsche EVs.
Acura has joined the 'a' list.

When I changed the spark plugs on my Cayenne turbo, I went to the dealership and they wanted $40 per plug. They were Bosch, but in a Porsche box. Went to AutoZone and bought the exact same Bosch plugs, same model number, but it came in a Bosch box, and they were 10$ each. The Porsche mark up is insane.

Tesla Supercharger cables are incredibly short. How do you park a taycan, so that the cable will reach without taking 3 spots?
For me, superchargers will be a backup plan in areas without other brands. Yes for V3 the cables are short and unless you have the 400V/150W option, charge rates are 50kW. Some sites have an end unit that the Taycan can use without blocking spaces. The Tesla V4 cable is significantly longer than previous versions (around 10 feet or 3 meters). I’ve seen these start to appear.

many many sites have a couple of spots that you can pull in to for good access - but worse case I've parked diagonally across two spaces and the cables can reach - but it's tricky

a few things:
  • Tesla knows about this problem and will be retrofitting existing stations - this is not a unique problem to Taycan
  • V4 sites have longer cables
  • the supercharger network is not a static thing - it will get better over time
  • superchargers tend to have way way way more stalls than other charging networks - so often times taking multiple spots is not an actual issue that impacts anyone else
  • you're not going to be there very long
  • many supercharger sites have some "side load" stalls that actually work perfectly for the Taycan
generally speaking it's not ideal but workable and if you need to charge you need to charge - this will get better over time…

It's ironic that a discontinued entity gets access before Porsche..and Porsche is still last on list..I predicted December (only 6 months past Porsche's "June"!) ..but now may move the prediction to early 2026....
it's trending that way - {sigh} March 2026?
