The perfect solution is at each Tesla station, they need to clearly identify the space that fits the Taycan, and ensure all customers are aware the space is marked in large reflective lettering "FOR TAYCAN ONLY"

Agree, should be mandatory signage at all Charging Stations.

The front spoiler barely cleared the curb. I take it that the suspension is on the lifted mode. I don't think the sedan can get as high.
Yes, I use the CT Lift feature at two technological extremes:
  • TSCN Magic Docks.
  • Backcountry trailheads.

Yes, a BMW i4 can charge at Tesla Superchargers using a BMW-provided adapter, which was expected to become available starting in the second half of 2025. Many 2025 and future BMW EVs are becoming compatible with the NACS charging standard used by Tesla. For current i4 models, an adapter is required to connect the car's CCS port to the Tesla NACS plug, and you'll use the Tesla app to initiate the charge process.

How to Charge at a Tesla Supercharger
  1. Get the Adapter: Obtain the BMW-certified adapter required for your i4's CCS port.

  2. Use the Tesla App: Download the Tesla app and add your i4 to your profile, selecting the option that you don't have a NACS adapter.

  3. Set Up Payment: Enter your payment details within the Tesla app.

  4. Connect: Connect the adapter to your vehicle's CCS port, then plug the NACS connector from the Supercharger into the adapter.

  5. Charge: The app and the station's screen will guide you through the charging process.
What to Expect
  • Adapter: An adapter is crucial for bridging the CCS and NACS charging systems.

  • Tesla App: The Tesla app is necessary for initiating and paying for the charge.

  • Seamless Experience: The adapter allows BMW i4 owners to access the extensive and high-speed Tesla Supercharger network for long-distance travel.
I was wondering about that!

Based on what I experienced yesterday, apparently the Cybertruck could also benefit from the equivalent signage.
I was at the NJ American Dream mall to tick off Consecutive Ski Month #46 (as well as visit a friend in NYC, and then pick up a tennis racquet stringing machine).
When I first went there two years ago, the chargers were exclusive to Tesla.
But last year they were upgraded to 20 32 mudda f'er D batteries Magic Dock chargers -- just such a wonderfully overwhelming large number of chargers compared to the typical two or four in New England.

So after easily reaching the Tycan port with the longer V4 cable (no maneuvering required), a Cybertruck driver asked me about the more isolated chargers.
Yes, that's right, a Tesla CT driver was asking a Porsche CT for advice on charging at a TSCN station.
(He also said, "Nice car!" Trying to think of something positive to say in return, I came up with, "Thanks -- and your car is [pause to come up with an accurate word] interesting." He then asked, "Do you want to trade?")

Even more surprisingly, he had been to the mall the prior two days yet wasn't aware of the 32 Superchargers.
Instead, he'd been trying to find chargers in NYC, which was especially difficult b/c the CT couldn't fit in many garages.
I thought the Tesla nav takes care of all that?

Sounds like a rookie mistake, but AFAIK, Tesla’s NAV can’t filter for “stations where my vehicle fits”…

Yes, but he didn’t even know that the mall he’d been to the prior day had 32 Superchargers.
That sounds like a him issue. Tesla all use the the same software, so if other people are aware that the mall had 32 superchargers, but he didn't, then he did something wrong on the nav screen.

Agreed.
And the puzzling part is that he seemed like a sensible on-top-of-it kind of guy.
(Other than his vehicle choice of course.)

…who never bothered to look for a supercharger on the map, or enter a nav destination out of range, or fall below some SOC at which Tesla would automatically suggest charging.

Yes a huge "FINALY".

I just setup the Tesla app. When searching locally I only see the magic dock location in Carson CA, so hopefully on Tuesday I can see them all. I can't stand waiting in line at EA when I need a quick bump charge so usually will find a Chargepoint DC station, so this is great. When I need to charge outside home I don't really care what it costs, I just want conveneince and want it to work
