Let me re-phrase: why did your car need new/replacement ceramic discs?
It did not. I just didnt pay Porsche for ceramic brakes and instead fitted them myself.

The question was probably asked, because on Turbo S in USA/ Europe, PCCB is standard equipment and cannot be opted out.

Ahhh, here you can opt out on PCCB in Turbo / Turbo S. So I specced it with the basic metal brakes (not PSCB) and then installed my own "fake" ceramics.

Which unlike the original ones havent rusted 🙃

As explained before it`s not the brake disc that is rusted but the boss beneath (visible on the disc over time)
If you have driven your car in Norway you would have this issue too

Thanks for the explanation.

The reason I asked is I have PCCB on my GTS and I hope they never need replacing 🙏

I know it's not the rotor itself, but it still seems very funny to me that $30,000 original Porsche brakes rust this way, while $6,000 Chinese brakes don't 🤣🤣🤣

And my brakes have been submerged in water multiple times, as here in Thailand during the monsoon season we often have 180mm/hour rainstorms that flood streets with easily 30cm in no time. It can't definitely be worse in Norway!

This was the only product I tried, needed a LOT of scrubbing with a toothbrush. Will try something else when It gets bad again as I’m sure there is an easier solution.
