Same old annoying YouTube attention whore stuff.
Clickbait title, expressional face with big screaming letters.
Check.
Don't even bother to watch it.

If you know the technology behind the Taycan drivetrain (thread "the perfect tune") you know it can't be done.
Only instant LC, that's it.
Facelift does get tuned to 940 PS.

I don't have the patience to sit through that dubbed video.
If someone else does, please post the 0-60 improvement and how they achieved it.
0 to 100km/h from 3,6s to 3,1s - 0,7G to 1+G.
100 to 200km/h from 9.8s to 5.2s.

Does it make it more fun in the hill curves? Probably not, thus not interested :)

I watched the video.

But I couldn't see any advantage.

The value from 100 to 200 km/h is supposed to be a little better, but nothing else. The Bush to Pass button then no longer works.

What's the point of all this? And how much does it cost? (Price/performance)

It doesn't make sense !!!

Let's take a Taycan 4S. It has 598 PS stock with Push to Pass and 517 PS without.
With the tune it has 940 PS in all modes, an increase of over 50%. It has this even without push to pass activated, so there is no point to keep the button active.

The 0-100 km/h is below 2.8s with the tune (depends on traction) - faster than a J1.1 Turbo S.
100-200 km/h is not a little faster, it's also 40-50% faster.

The point of a tune is to increase power. If you don't want to increase power, then there is no real point to tune anything.

To get comparable acceleration you have to get a Taycan Turbo, which is over 40000 EUR more expensive. The tune only costs 2500 EUR, and the car is faster than a stock Turbo, because the Turbo has 802 PS in Push to Pass mode, and after the tune the car has 940 PS always.

I can't say I like the video very much, there is almost no information there. Maybe I should make a better one myself...

Gemini did a summary for me:

The video focuses on testing the performance of a Taycan 4S Sport Turismo before and after the software modification.

Stock (Original) Performance Estimates

The host, who states the car has an estimated 500 PS and 700 Nm of torque in its stock state [01:04], performs initial acceleration tests:

  • 0-100 km/h: Estimated at 3.65 seconds [02:36], which is close to the factory-stated 3.7 seconds.
  • 100-200 km/h (Standard): Estimated at 9.79 seconds [04:01].
  • 100-200 km/h (Push to Pass Mode): Estimated at 8.41 seconds [04:53], showing the stock boost button makes the car over a second faster.

After Software Tuning

The host then installs the performance software [05:51] and performs the tests again with the same battery charge level.

The tuned car's performance showed a massive improvement:

  • 100-200 km/h: Estimated at 5.2 seconds [07:31]. The host notes this is nearly twice as fast as the original time (9.8 seconds), calling the difference "crazy" [08:22].
  • "Push to Pass" Function: The host notes that the original Push to Pass button no longer works, but explains this is because the increased power is now permanently active ("Dauer on") [09:03].
  • Power Display: Interestingly, the in-car kW display still shows the original power figures, suggesting the software modification bypasses or hides the true output [09:45].
  • 0-100 km/h: Estimated at 3.1 seconds [10:44]. The host notes there were significant traction issues (wheelspin) during this test, suggesting the car has the potential to be even faster, speculating it could reach under 3 seconds with better tires/grip [12:16].
The host concludes the performance goal was achieved, highlighting the significant gain of going from 9.8 seconds to 5.2 seconds in the 100-200 km/h sprint [12:02].

Here's a tuned J1.2 Taycan 4 CT from the leaderboards on Dragy - 2.87s.
https://www.godragy.com/leaderboards/porsche/taycan-4-cross-turismo-843431/

It can do 2.6x as well, the problem is traction. The Turbo S is faster because the front motor can do more.
Still quicker than a J1.1 Turbo S though.

For me the more impressive feat is that we clocked a Taycan 4 CT at 2.9s in China with just 25% SoC remaining.

And what’s going on with warranty after such tunning?
It’s hard to believe that Porsche commitment is still valid?

If you look at the contract then technically any modification voids the warranty. Even fitting for example non-NF0 tyres voids the warranty.

Real life situation is that even on cars that had their original controllers modified and have been to the dealer, there has never been a warranty refusal. So Porsche is choosing not to void the warranty even when the modification is detected. Same with the tyres.

We don't even touch the original controller, we swap a different one in, and you can swap it back going to the dealer. This is not detected at all.
This is supposed to be countered by component protection, and the car is supposed to be in limp mode when you swap the unit without coding it, but we patched the component protection in the unit, so it works normally.

In the end this modification can not cause any damage, because the ASG is not responsible for protection of the motors or the battery - they operate strictly within the limitations set by Porsche.
