4S+ dead again connected to wall charger. Second time in 3 weeks. Getting to be a bit annoying for a car this expensive.... Reported the issue (again) to Porsche Assistance tonight, will go look for my start booster tomorrow... Oh well...
If you are using a charging profile with a timer then stop using it and use direct charge. As I have documented in another thread I believe the charging profiles is the problem.

Why do you think this causes it? I use cheap electric overnight and would like to continue that with the Taycan. I can honestly say I have had no problems with my Tesla M3P for 12 months since new, not one! If there any bugs they are sorted with a reboot. It does trouble me jumping ship from a trouble-free car, reading all the problems with the Taycan, having had none with my current car  thoughts?

I have had my car since early May and used a timer etc set for 07.00 each time I charged. I also have cheap night time electricity and I have not found any problems. TOUCH WOOD! I have never used the app to start or change any charging settings. And after trying to start the climate control a few times, but failing every time, I have given up on the app!

I have used it fine to start a charging session on Ionity a few times and that has been fine. But not sure it connected to the car at that stage.

I have found the app totally useless since it does not do anything and there is a growing suspicion that it causes the 12 volt issues. Had it not been for the fact that I use it for Ionity charging, I would gladly delete the app.

Mee to, have been charging and using the app since May. There was an update of the App that disabled the possibility to change time settings when charging. I guess it's to prevent getting into the 12V issue. I can still turn on and off, and adjust heating when charging.

Everyone who had the 12v battery issue was while their car was plugged in on a charger waiting to charge later with a charging profile.
To my knowledge nobody has reported a dead 12v battery while not plugged in a charger, so the bug has something to do with charging.

For what it's worth, I have always used a profile. I have not (yet) had the 12v battery die on me. I do other things (lock doors and cage the key), but it's entirely possible that I have just been lucky.

Thanks for your feedback, I really feel for anyone having this 12V issue, it's not just Taycans that have it but it must hurt more knowing the car cost that much more than the competition - a saying comes to mind "reassuringly expensive" ?

I canceled my Taycan order. If you like your M3P, stick with it or sell it to me. :)

Was it just the battery issue, or other issues with the car that made you cancel the order?

Sorry to hear that, cause you’re missing out on a fab car! I’ve been on track with all manners of BMWs and most of the recent Porsche models, and the Taycan beats them all in regards to handling, acceleration, cornering (well, 911s being the exception here) and so on. However, I do understand the decision if what you want is a - as much as possible - “carefree” car ownership.

I’m probably not a good yardstick in that regards, as I’d just as soon change disc brakes and pads myself, along with oil, filters, shocks etc. (Just finished switching the last of 4 cars from summer to winter/studded tires today). So for me; having to “jump start” a brand new $130000 car once in a while is just another thing that needs doing. I just can’t be bothered trying to get the dealer to “fix” it anymore. It probably sounds crazy (my wife will surely tell you so) - but that’s just where I’m at after all these years with “track cars” etc.

My conclusion so far, after almost 5 months of Taycan ownership is that it’s the best car I’ve ever driven - but it’s not an ideal car for non technical “gear heads” - YMMV. It may get there - hopefully.

I loved driving the Taycan, but it‘s probably too nice for grocery shopping. I would be better off with a less expensive vehicle.

And so, it strikes again.... 2nd time this month, 3rd time in total. Was on direct charge - NO timer or profile. Did NOT use the app and had background update turned off.
Just ridiculous....

OK, so this needs to be sorted now, I dont even own a car yet and it annoys me. If you knew about the issue, I assume you wouldn't have purchased the car?

Next time videoshoot your dead car and upload to YouTube. I will certainly do if mine dies. With a few videos from owners complaining InsideEvs might write an article about it. Some negative press might help..

It seems that Polestar got some press of unhappy owners then got a recall.
