Hello guys,
I'm in the process of buying my first Taycan, a Porsche pre-owned 10 month old 2nd gen Sport Turismo which has been used as a demo car. I've searched for months and this seems to be the one. For me, it ticks almost all of the boxes and is also what I consider a reasonable price. It's not at my local dealership, so I arranged a date to travel down from Scotland to England and test drive/view this taycan.
On the day, the sales exec emails to tell me he has bad news - in an apparent effort to be efficient, his team has (without his knowledge) made arrangements for the wheels to be serviced, but this means the car is locked up in an industrial state on the day I am supposed to be inspecting & driving it. They say they have a very similar car (J1 Sport turismo 4S) for me to demo, apologise, and say they will look after "some form of gesture" to be decided after discussion with management. I turn up and demo the other car.
Question for the community - what would you expect here? What would be reasonable? Is this going to be "Here's a goody bag"? Might they offer a track experience, or would I even be within my right to try and ask for some money off the actual vehicle?
