Mine certainly did and I think it’s very worthwhile. Others on here have also found it very worthwhile. W1nge, were you offered it when you bought your alternative to the EV ?

Surely it’s also worth asking if future scuffs can be skimmed.

Nope, Porsche Centre Glasgow doesn't offer it (offer a paint protection respray over 2 years instead) and Porsche Aberdeen did - had it on my Taycans and wife's Macan T.

Absolutely worth having that said.

BMW (Aberdeen) didn't offer it either until recently.

I think you might have been rather optimistic here -- messing up a test drive is standard business for all UK car dealers. But sounds as thought they treated you right in the end.

At the end of the visit the sales rep suggested a track day, which for me holds little interest.
Too late now i guess, but a day at the Porsche Experience Centre is definitely worthwhile if your OPC has a spare one going (they come with brand-new cars but sometimes a buyer doesn't take it up). It is more fun than it sounds, plus you get 1:1 time with an instructor who will really show you what your Taycan can do especially under emergency conditions eg skidding. I do feel better prepared for an emergency after my session there.

Totally agree with this - if blasting around track isn't your thing (to be honest their track isn't great anyway) then the instructor is yours for the day so you can opt to be taught emergency stops, recovering from a skid, how to use the tech in the car etc. Personally I felt a bit queasy after a large breakfast (rookie mistake considering I've done plenty of track days in the past both on bikes and in cars) so quickly put a stop to the track and we went out on public roads so I could play with the various cruise control features. We then did some work on how good the brakes are, how to recover from a loss of traction, even a demo of how to charge because this was my first EV. The most valuable thing was being taught how to properly set up the steering wheel, mirror and seat - after 20+ years of driving suddenly a few tweaks made everything far more comfortable.

The Porsche experience centre isn't just a track day and worthwhile for all new owners.

The only kind of gesture I'm getting from Porsche is the middle finger...

Car need to get in for Commbox issue (no Connect service like many other people), they are trying to charge me for a rental car as it's initially in for "diagnostic" for a couple of days not "fixing (under warranty)".
