No 22kw Charging Ports

Some fun facts. 22KW at 220-240 VAC is 80-90 AMPS. I know of no homes that can provide that kind of charging. 11KW is 40-45 AMPS, which is what most homes are set up to handle.

11KW isn't a big deal.

it depends.
I have 22kW chargers at work and I exclusively charge the car there. A couple of hours, 3hrs max., and the car is fully charged.

you have the technical details section NOT standard equipment - note the heading on my screen shot

show me a stand equipment listing for 22kw or and optional 22 kw OBC from the configurator - otherwise you’ve got nothing

porsches listed the 22 kw charge times for almost a year even after the hardware was no longer an option for the Taycan

check the standard equipment list or options

at the moment there is no 22/19.2 kw charger option or standard equipment that i can find

the tab you have displayed is NOT the equipment on the vehicle - simple documenting times at various charge rates

You are right, I stand corrected.

I have checked again, and indeed, the 11 kw OBC comes as standard, and there seems to be no option for a 22 kw OBC anywhere.

Good for you Could you please ask them where that part exactly came from (Service center shelves, porsche uk shelves, porsche germany shelves) ?

I’ve just spoken to them and they confirmed that they did infect replace the charger like for like, 22kv for 22kv

hi in the uk the vast majority of homes have a single phase 220-240v supply so to charge at 11kw you would need a 10mm cable from the fuseboard and a 60amp rated wall box also a 55-60amp circuit breaker with other appliances running you would be in danger of exceeding/overloading your supply which is why domestic wallboxes are 7.5kw rated

Hey Rob,
MY23 4S, diagnosed today. Offered £1.5k option refund and £1.2k compensation. So £2,700 total.

They are fixing it under warranty and have requested bank details.

They replaced mine with an 11KW and it's fine. Still charges the whole car in an evening.
