When choosing mine the difference between saloon and tourismo body styles was marked for an adult sitting in the back. It may be 36mm on paper difference, but in reality it was enough that I wouldn't buy a saloon. Would kids notice? Perhaps not at 5yrs old. But at 13 mine would36mm of headroom difference is not a material difference. Clutching at straws.
(Both cars I tried had pano roof, same seats front and rear etc).
The biggest issue in the back is foot space. If the front seats are set low, ingress/egress is made harder IME.
