Understanding Taycan’s depreciate like crazy but… a dealer has a “used” never owned 2025 taycan turbo s with 29 miles. i can get it for $163k, has a msrp of $252k. good deal or will i still fall far behind the depreciation curve? I typically only keep cars for about 2 years.

I would check its CarFax accident history. It could be a reasonable or good deal if in 29 mile excellent condition it initially appears. Are all the recalls and software updates done? If it is not near you so your could visit, request a full ten minutes slow-motion, inside and outside, walk around including especially the wheels for any curb rash, the front bottom splitter area for any curb impacts, etc. (I did same on a CPO it was all good news for me, e.g.., bought it). Good luck in after your research it turns out to be what you want.

Check the delivery address on the sticker and see if it came from a Porsche Experience Center.

I bought a 115 mile “never owned cpo” that ended up with totally cooked PSCB brakes.

Get a PPI from another dealer.

This is usually a dealer that registers the car to book a sale with Porsche corporate. It will probably be worth $100k in 2 years, so much cheaper to by than lease

Yeah definitely go over it carefully especially the brakes.
Yes. These are the cars you see if media videos with the drivers abusing the cars.

Looks for the date it was imported which i circled above (June 5th 2025) and the buyer.

Honestly any car with “one Porsche drive” gives me pause, now.

I did end up paying over 4K to get my car to as new condition.

Yes becasue the low miles is misleading. Yours was one the dealers used to try the car out on track, braking hard etc.

Yours is post tarris price increase (after July 2025). It looks like a high spec car just given to Henderson becasue they are a newer dealer. They register it to show its sold, but its really a new car, maybe demod it a few miles
