I'm looking for a Turbo GT in California and I'm pretty specific on color and options. When I specced it in the configurator, it was $261k list price.

I'm wondering if ya'll can provide guidance on:
1. If I build, should I expect to pay more or less than MSRP?
2. If I find a new floor model somewhere in the country that's close enough, should I expect to pay more or less than MSRP?
3. I plan to keep the car ~3 years. I can pay cash, but is it smarter to lease it?

Thanks for your expertise

This car is interesting but is likely to depreciate like a rock. Recommend buying 2nd hand if you can find one….worst case 10-15% below MSRP.

Lease with max down or lease then pay off after a month as a purchase. This is to get the $7500 lease rebate

you already have the Plaid, why this downgrade to a Turbo GT?
I just got a Plaid and am not feeling like i am missing a lot (in comparison to Turbo S JI) in all the important areas (handling, suspension, sound system) and gaining in some (infotainment, software, utility). Plus, you will be disappointed with the power output until @redshift-performance is able to remove the power-limiter in gen 2.

Sorry, but a lot of BS written here.
It is largely discussed in this forum, where dis-/advantages of both cars lay.

So, go price and software: take a Plaid.
Go for true dynamics (also BRAKING), built quality, heritage, charging-speed and luxury: take a Taycan.

Stock cars in UK with / without Weissach Package - all discounted and unregistered. Negotiate hard IMHO.

Sounds like it's irrelevant but depreciation will be close to losing a leg and an arm in one go as soon as you drive off the lot!

I'd check a few dealers around you and gave them this opportunity. Let them give you the best deal and then decide in comfort. I bet they will fight over each other to give you a solid discount. If you stick to new.

If you go for used or new on the lot, the price might already be much much better as that car cost them money to store and take part in depreciation.

If you build, you won't get a discount. Find one sitting on a lot, work out a good deal, and then lease, both for the tax incentive but also because of crushing depreciation.

You should never pay more than MSRP at a Porsche dealer for a new car. I have a Turbo GT and love it. Regarding Plaid - the Tesla software is orders of magnitude better than Porsche's. But the car itself, driving experience, handling, etc etc etc, the Plaid doesn't even come close. IMHO of course having owned both kinds (2 Teslas and 2 Taycans).

I dont care what the discussion has been. I have my own butt experienced the two cars and made my own judgement.

You were comparing it to a J1 Turbo S initially, completely different car to a Turbo GT.

Have you got a link please? I'll buy it if that's true but I very much doubt it.

Sure thing, it is in this video that is only 2 weeks old at 5:51 mark.

Apologies for the incorrect claim of "100k", as I was looking at the 149k in pounds as a number thinking 100k off the US 250k in dollars.
