I don’t understand how this works, I have remote parking too but never used it to activate surround view. Doesn’t it activate when you hit reverse?

yes it does. But not when going forward. And that is also needed sometimes

Always Regen On & Got skip track button already so :
On Wheel > Sport Sound (for quick startup press & go)
On Driver Cluster > 360 Camera ( for quick access while in tight parking lot )

I dont seem to be able to get the button to give me homelink as an option. Nor can I find anything on home link that allows me to do geolocation. Have this on my audi love it.

I have a J1.2. On the homelink I have the button programming page and an info page.
There is also a gear in the lower right, and what looks like a car with wifi coming out of the side and a 'P'. But this is always greyed out.

Nothing around geo location. Not a 1.2 feature? Am I missing something?

It does. They're under the mirror, but they arent super tactile or as easy to push as the popup on screen.

They've got a raised bumps on them so you can feel for what you need (1 for the left, 2 for the middle and 3 for the right on a US model),

I’ve changed mine to copy this. I do a quick regen and sound on each time on startup now.

For a J1.2 regen should save it's state (no reason to keep turning it back on)... but perhaps that just in the US.

Steering wheel: Next track (which I probably don't even need anymore, now that I'm Porsche Connect-free, Bluetooth raw-dogging my audio... maybe I should duplicate "Lift" with that button to avoid fingerprints on the cluster )

Cluster: Sport sound (which I never turn on but couldn't think of anything else to put there, as there are already dedicated buttons for lift and parking cameras)

Mine is a J1.1 - regen status is not saved which is very annoying.

You're right, there's already a camera button in the centre, so no need an extra one on the dash.

I changed the dash button to Mute Camera - it doesn't close the camera view so I assume it mutes the sound. Will have to try that later.

I once had garage door opener programmed but just put the remote in my car to free it up. Now I have the cameras on the wheel, and sport sound on the dash.

I’m curious how all you experienced taycan drivers programmed your buttons. I allocated one for ‘lift’ considering the many speedbumps we have around.
what do you consider valuable?

Next track on the steering wheel, sport sound for the one on the dashboard.
