I like the looks better than the SUV version, which is a rare thing these days (looking at you MB and BMW).

Couldn’t help but chuckle at this: …
“…Depending on model, the Lighweight Package reduces weight up to 38.8 lbs…” (emphasis added)
🤣🤣🤣

I guess I’m missing something. What is the difference between a 4 door SUV, 4 door sedan & 4 door coupe in the Cayenne? Are they different heights? I was always under the impression if it has 2 doors it’s a coupe, has 4 doors but a lower ride height it’s a sedan and 4 doors with a higher ride height then it’s an SUV?

Not sure whether you're being intentionally obtuse or just being pedantic, but either way, I'm not going down that path...

Regardless of what it's called, I like the looks of this version of the Cayenne EV better than the other version.

I like the look but I’m honestly not sure what the definition of coupe vs sedan vs SUV is supposed to be.
I’ve never had a 4 door coupe only 2 door coupe’s. 4 door sedan vs 4 door suv is obvious.

Evidently I stand corrected. I thought coupes were always 2 doors but now I see that coupes have been offered with 4 doors as well on a few occasions from BMW and others.
I do like the more sleek look compared to the SUV and if my only choice to get a 4 door hybrid or ICE sedan is the Taycan/Panamera or the Cayenne then I would likely lean towards this new Cayenne coupe which is likely easier to get in an out of.
You learn something new every day.
My wife has only had 2 door coupes for the past 40 years and I’ve only had 2 door sports cars, 4 door sedans & large trucks/SUVs.
I always loved the big Mercedes S600 2 door coupes from the 1990s. That was one gorgeous car…

It almost looks like a supersized Taycan but people love these, just look at the Mercedes Benz and BMW models out there.

For completeness: "coupé" is French (note the accent) for "to cut" and in car terms refers to the sloping roofline when viewed from the side.

Here's what Gemini has to say on the matter: "A coupe is a fixed-roof car characterized by a sleek, sloping rear roofline, usually featuring two doors and a sporty design. While traditionally having two seats or a 2+2 layout, modern coupes often include four-door variants (four-door coupes) that balance stylish aesthetics with increased practicality."

The difference is marketing. It’s whatever manufacturers want to call it.

Same with “SUV” vs “crossover” vs “wagon” vs “hatchback.”

My old Mustang Mach E could accurately be described as any of the above terms.

is there any feature difference between this and the non coupe version?

On the gas version, the coupe doesn't come with a center seat and has an active spoiler.

Anyone found whether it has a hatchback (so large trunk opening) or just a sedan style trunk?

Yes, I thought coupe was only with 2 doors but I guess just however they want to market their models.
It does look like a Taycan on steroids or the offspring of a Taycan bred with a bull mastiff. I wouldn’t be interested in this necessarily over a Taycan if I was 30 years younger with no family since I would already have a dedicated SUV for skiing, camping, etc., but in my 60s a beefy, sleek, Taycan sedan on steroids as a hybrid or most likely a pure ICE does have me leaning toward the Cayenne Coupe 4 door rather than the 911, Boxster or Cayman which I have outgrown (literally). So now it looks like I’ll be adding a sleek small Cayenne ICE SUV to my full size SUV, oversized Sprinter Conversion van & Taycan collection. If they offered it in a convertible I could cruise to the end of my life without needing any other vehicles…
