Not sure if anyone's seen the New Porsche Taycan 4S Middle Taillight??
I wanted too do this 4 years ago when I first bought my Taycan 4S.
I took the middle Taillights out and going to touch each letter with a individual LED Light. Those letters NEED TO BE LIT UP...
When i took off the middle Taillight it is loaded with an Unbelievable amount of wires in there. So I immediately reinstalled it back on the car.
Well 4 Years later I Finally found this...
I LOVE IT...
I think i have thr only car in the US that has this. I'm told it's a European thing. Not sure if that's true or not but here it is...
Hopefully I won't get too much Negative comments. That's why I left the forum over 3 years ago.
But what the Hell. Hrre goes.
Lol

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to tell us.
You had these lights in the light bar all along?
You were able to get them to work?
You bought a new red light bar and got it working with the old wiring harness?
I'm kinda lost here.
Can you explain what you've done?

Um that's been available on J1.2 Taycans for some time now (last year) and unfortunately is now spreading to the Cayenne EV.

Personal taste but I prefer not to have it..one manufacturer does it then the rest like lemmings follow, same happened with the horizontal rear light strip.

@PCASSOO Where was this "unbelievable amount of wires"? Did you actually open the center tail light bar and then reglue it back together? Or are you referring the 2 exiting plugs in the light bar?

It is an expensive option now on the 2025 and up models for the Taycan. It does look nice but it is a matter of opinion. I have it on mine.

I personally find that the letters sitting under the line somewhat disrupt the flow. The Cayenne EV resolved that by having two lines matching the font size. So the lettering becomes, effectively, the continuation of the tail light.

But if you're happy with the result, then that's all that matters. Whoever gives you negative comments isn't worth your energy or attention. Just show them the middle finger!

I appreciate that.
So I guess the lit up PORSCHE is common over there??
I Love the way they look myself. Do you have a picture of your cars backend?
I'd like too see it on your car.
Thanks David

In 2022 I took the rear spoiler off to add LED'S to each letter individually. When I started too open up the back of the middle taillight up I seen all these wires packed in there. I wasn't working at the two plugs on the ends.
When I seen all the wires in there I just put the taillight back on and reinstalled the Spoiler.

It's not a United States Taillight. I don't think they offer them her in the US.
I wanted those letters too e lit up for years now. I had to find it overseas.

I could not make my original factory taillight light too work because I didn't want too screw up the original wires that were packed in there so I reinstalled it back on my car. I finally found this lit up taillight, so I purchased it from overseas and installed it.
Sorry for the confusion.
Now I have e my original Porsche taillight and I'm trying to figure out a way to light that up in my garage.

Awesome! Was it plug and play? Where did you buy it? I want this too! You also have a J1.1 right?
