Another one with the alarm problem on a CT4. Goes off around 15 seconds after locking the car. This morning just went off randomly. The neighbours are getting annoyed….

A question for all of you with the alarm issue....out of curiosity. When the alarm goes off, is the car parked on perfectly flat ground or is it parked on sloping ground? Mine is usually parked in a driveway where the ground is sloping and since my car also showed an error code (error code not visible to me but the dealer told me the car had it) related to the "leveling" system. I suspect it might be involved somehow. Just wanted to see if this was a common thing or not.

Alarm goes off regardless of leveled or not for me. An interesting thing happened the other day when parking outside the main door to my home. In the evening when locking the door to my home (hours after locking the car), when the sound of me locking the door, alarm went off exactly the same time. I suspect there is something wrong with the ultrasound sensor.

I hope Porsche is aware of this issue.
This is probably the worst issue I ve seen so far… not knowing when the alarm goes on… can get quite embarrassing

I have the same alarm issue as well on my CT Turbo so this is not isolated to the 4S it seems. I've had it checked at the same dealer as you actually and they have no clue to what the underlying problem is and they told me they've sent the problem onwards to Porsche for further investigation etc. One thing they noted on my car though was that the car had an error code related to the "levelling" system and that might be a contributing factor but this is purely speculation from my side.
This is possible, the only time it happened to me the car was on an uneven ground. Not big incline, but not horizontal either.
Another culprit I suspect is the key being at its physical barrier and connecting/disconnecting. Whenrver the key was less than 3m or more than 30m away, the problem never appeared

For me it happens with a sloped ground or not. Haven’t really thought about how close the key is, but will definitely think of it now.

Put the keys in a Faraday cage (metal can, or bag) and see if that stops the issue?

Will try to do it tomorrow, if not on Monday!
Remember to do it with both keys, as the spare might be in your house also within range.

As a side note, I reused an old breath mint can to keep my spare car key in, so it doesn't keep in communicating with the car (I keep the spare in a room right above the garage where the car is parked). It is also useful if I ever want to lock the car with the key inside for any reason. It was a promotional giveaway at some conference I went to, sadly only got one, so the spare for the 2nd car in the garage I just keep without a battery in it.

I’m really struggling with the alarm problem. It’s getting worse. Literally goes off every time I lock the car. I’ve switched off the alarm via the settings but it still goes off? It goes off I unlock the car, it goes off again… how do you switch it off permanently?

I have this random "false" alarm issue with my 4s Cross T I've reported to my dealer for research back with Germany for me disabling the internal sensor seems to prevent it happening must be a fault with the sensitivity of the internal sensors one assumes the sensitivity may be adjustable by OPD?

Yeah, I believe that too, hopefully Germany will report back soon on the fix.

An electrician installed the Porsche wallbox that enables 22kw charging. So three phase charging should work, but no, still charges at 1.9kw. I’ve tried reseting the Mobile Charger Connect, but it still says 10A is the maximum when it should be 16A. Anyone know how to fix this?
