Good News. Plug & Charge worked this morning! Big step forward.

Still having issues with Porsche Connect, was working last night, now it thinks the Taycan is in Private Mode and won't display any information. Of course, it is not in private mode. Arg....
Same here. I’m going to delete the main user and start over. I’m hoping this also fixes my Apple Music/podcast problem.

Hopefully it's not too late - but if your car has no Porsche Telematics connection, deleting the main user will result in all of your user-related settings being lost - you won't be able to log in as any user. Don't do this unless your vehicle data on the Porsche website is up to date.

Polestar 2 cannot charge on Signet chargers either and needs a software update.
Here is the TSB https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10197409-9999.pdf

The issue date was Dec 2020 but their planned software fix was due Q3 2021... They detected the issue early but the fix release is slow like Porsche.

"Polestar 2 vehicles are currently experiencing an incompatibility issue when attempting to charge at Signet brand electric vehicle charging stations. Most commonly, the EVI LED will briefly flash yellow during a short initialization period and will then turn Red, indicating that a HV charging error has occurred and that HV charging is not possible. This issue is actively being worked on and updated OBC SW is expected to be available in VIDA by 2021 Q3. Until then, it is advised to make an alternate charging plan that does not require the usage of a Signet electric vehicle charging station."

It has a data connection and I was able to logout / login etc. The LED is green on the SOS button, etc. Is there something else I should check?

Had my update today. Took under 2 hours, thanks to the service advisor doing his homework on the bulletin up, getting with the Taycan tech to make sure he had already pulled the patch down, etc.

No collateral damage, either; no more adverse changes to PCM, wireless CarPlay behaviors, driver settings, etc.

Now I just have to see if PnC works…

can you post the update campaign/name if the PnC works better for you? I called my service guy and he is not aware of the update that you mention and was wondering if you have more details (perhaps it is listed on the service receipt?)

I had the "fix" done recently and I finally made it to an EA charger to test it, unfortunately my visit coincided with the new EA issue. when I plugged in the plug and charge seemed to work but I got the payment not accepted message so while it appears that the "fix" had changed how the car and charger communicate I still had to use the app to get a charge going.
while the car was in getting the "fix" porsche found faults in the PCM and replaced it which caused many of my settings to disappear, I had to reestablish the connection to the server.
the plug and charge setting which had disappeared on my car was also present.

I’m happy to report, with one datapoint, that not only am I able to charge at a once problematic EA site that plug and charge is working on my 2021 Taycan w/19.2kW charger. ON THE FIRST TRY.

It went through authorizing billing and then displayed the “Welcome inclusive Taycan driver” so it knows… it’s not a fluke or billing system out of order situation. No 350’s here so I’m on a 150 pulling down 135kW sustained. I’ll take it!

Please let this be one datapoint of many!

Nice. I'm getting the update tomorrow. I've read on this thread a warning to wait a week before testing at EA? Did you wait a week? Can you comment on any instructions the dealer gave you, or did they just send you on your way?

I did wait a week. That wasn’t my intention but this was my first opportunity to test it. My dealer didn’t provide any specific instructions other than making sure I was aware of the charging menu where the checkboxes are for plug and charge as well the battery saver/longevity optimized charging option.

I also received a number of PCM OTA updates this morning which restored my Apple Music and Apple podcast apps.

That's great news, man. I'm getting the update on Tuesday. Hope to put all of the problems related to this defective 19.2kW onboard charger behind me! I'll post a follow-up after the patch is applied.

Mine was updated Friday. Dealer told me it may take up to a week to "activate" Plug and Charge, and that I should uncheck it should I have any problems charging until then.

I tried it out Saturday afternoon and indeed got a "payment declined" message on the EA screen with Plug and Charge enabled. I unchecked it and was able to charge without issue using the Charging NA app. I will try again next weekend to ensure Plug and Charge is working.

That's very curious. Why would one have to wait a week for the payment processing bit to work properly?
