Matt Armstrong can fix this, no problem whatsoever.
I just love that channel.

Opposite to this experience is my Elise, where the chassis does the job not the tyres. No matter what you throw at it, tyres will never scream for help.
My wrecked 2005 Elise wants a word with you….🙃

Snap oversteer?

Looking at an Exige now. IMO one of the best cars ever made
Even though it was 20 years ago, I don’t want to post details publicly. I bought it new at 21. 21 year old me should not have had that car. I’ll leave it at that.

Great car though. I’ve almost bought another one half-a-dozen times since.

Unfortunately I couldn’t afford one at that age, so it came later in life with (supposedly) more salt in my brain… after a wild Catheram… and you quickly learn not how to drive it but how not to drive it…

This particular model should have a Porsche driving school included in the sales price. Too easy for this to happen.

In some ways it’s worse that someone who could afford that car did that/experienced that than it is when a teenager balls up a beater bought with his/her first job money...

I understand that they’re called accidents, but still…

In high school a friend of mine `borrowed' a neighbor's 930 while they were away on vacation.
He quickly discovered the joy of off throttle oversteer on a narrow country road, but luckily was able to return it unharmed.

Summer tires in freezing weather can definitely be slick, but I suspect whoever drove it was overconfident and not used to 1000hp (especially on tires with compromised traction). There have been a bunch of examples of youtubers driving the Model S Plaid when it first came out, with traction control at least partially disabled (like "track mode") because you know "they're expert drivers", and end up driving the cars into curbs or dividers. Here is one example of a YouTube warrior in "track mode":
I'm honestly surprised that the driver would floor it into a corner like that. In a straight line, sure, but into a corner?!? That's just dumb.

I have a little bit of experience driving performance car in all weather conditions, Taycan Turbo GT was my daily driver (10k miles in less then a year in Chicago), had 3 seasons as a privateer for Opel and FIAT in late 70s rallying and I wouldn't dare to attempt driving ANY car on Summer tires in Winter.
It's a law in Germany to swap tires in Winter and it is to force idiot or clueless drivers to do it for their own (and other motorists in particular) protection.
I don't care if this one was at fault or if someone cut him off, this driver is at fault by default, simply for the stupid idea of driving a 1000HP car on Summer performance tires in this weather.
If I were the insurance adjustor I would deny his or her claim.
