I’ve only had my GTS a few months (coming from a MS Plaid) and I have to admit, while I love most every aspect of it relative to the Tesla, it does feel slow and hesitant.

The MapEV quoted gains at 100%SOC are incredible, but I charge mine to 80% each night and return home most days with ~ 40%SOC. I’ve searched a bunch but haven’t seen any tuned data/times on less than 100%SOC. Anything out there I’m missing…or even seat of the pants feedback from people about tuned power degradation at lower SOC? Thanks
Even at 80% it will be over 760 PS. Especially on the J1.1 GTS you will have a very big difference.

You won't find many anyway cuz if you're still on warranty you don't take any risk to discuss this online.
Although it's probably outside the scope of your warranty (the inverter safety limits are still unchanged) Porsche may read about it...

Except for the dozens of people openly discussing it online here?

No need to spread unnecessary fear. Do you honestly think Porsche has secret sleeper agents hiding in the forums tracking IP addresses to cross reference with owner data and put people on some sort of warranty list?

Who knows?

But to what end? Voiding warranties based on this tune would be admitting that the drivetrain is insufficient for a factory stock Turbo S.

That’s a pretty hard argument to make with the Magnuson-Moss act. 🤷‍♂️

I'd say the to your destination will feel like a much faster car, but part of the drive home may not.

At 80-100%, it is shockingly fast similar to that of a P100D that I had, but below say 50% it feels like the stock GTS did. The data may tell us otherwise, I'm just going off of living with it the past few months in a similar begin/end scenario.

I tend to keep the car charged fully now, to enjoy the extent of the new power. Maybe I don't need to do that, but I usually plug in overnight if I'm <50% unless my wife has stolen the plug for the night.

I’ve been playing around with software-based power bumps too, and for my gas car I used GÄN GT, which gave me noticeably more punch without making the engine feel stressed. It’s cool to see EVs getting their own version of that tuning fun. If the 4S is really hitting 950 hp through software alone, I’d love to see how they manage temps and longevity under repeated hard pulls.

Those subjects are covered extensively in the “The quest for the perfect tune” threads

I’d double-check what this kind of software tweak does to battery temps and drivetrain stress. I’m also curious whether anyone’s seen long-term effects or warranty pushback after using it.
Doesn’t do squat.

No more strain than a bone stock turbo or turbo S.

These cars can do Nurburgring laps. Even if you drive like that (and I seriously doubt many here do), you’re fine.

I passed on doing a tune on my taycan turbo 2

Didn’t see that much of a difference for price in the info.

I think the results are much better for base cars

Depends on how often you floor it from a roll. The extra power all the time is worth it IMO.

If you’re using launch control a lot, yeah the difference on a turbo S isn’t as much.
