Sounds promising, especially the charging speed…
Angeles Crest Hwy - great road with several side roads that are worth exploring as well!
Mt. Wilson Observatory is along ACH too and is worth a stop.
Friday mornings there’s the “Good Vibes Breakfast Club” cars and coffee gathering at the old Newcomb’s Ranch restaurant parking lot along ACH...
Phantom drain WAS endemic to the older Model S/X, but hasn't really been an issue on the 3/Y. The few reports I've seen on the 3/Y have generally been linked to an active app on a phone close to the car at all times and/or something else waking the car up, intentionally or unintentionally...
My guess is that your car is being “woken up” somehow multiple times a day.
In 5 years with 2 different Model 3s, leaving them sitting for even multiple days at a time at home or the airport, I’ve never seen the SOC change by more than 1-2%. Most of the time the SOC doesn’t change at all, but...
Avoid this charger at all costs:

What makes avoiding it tough is that it’s one of the few DCFC options...
We left Rancho Santa Fe yesterday morning in that weather. Beautiful sunshine when we got back to LaQuinta, though.
View from LaQuinta last weekend was similar to your IW pic:
Hope your red circle gets resolved soon!
There were limitations, of course, because why wouldn't there be?
There were also opportunities:

What about the intransigence you mentioned?
Why do you think Tesla was being intransigent? Was that reported somewhere?
Back in 2014, Telsa offered their patented EV technologies for free to anyone who wanted to use them to further the cause of EV development:

The legacy...
Why does a lack of a business agreement matter to Tesla?
They profit from selling the KWHs to whoever uses them, right? So why couldn’t the “Charge Your Non-Tesla” function in the app be used to start a charging session at ANY Supercharger once the appropriate adapters are available?
Ouch.
On a semi-related note, I’ve been staying at a particular hotel near our corporate HQ partially because they’ve been offering free Tesla Destination Chargers.
They recently replaced those with temperamental CCS chargers, and I found out this week that they’re now charging a flat $15.00...
Every EV loses power to some degree as SOC drops.
Some mask the power drop better than others, but physics dictates that power will eventually drop as the battery voltage drops.
The results of the survey speak to the reputation and current state of non-Tesla EV DCFC infrastructure in the US much moreso they do to potential EV buyers' attitudes towards EVs themselves.
Speaking of wadding, this is obviously just a marketing piece.
Judging by the multiple mentions of this same clip on this forum, it appears to have had the desired effect....
