Lol that's just not how electric motors work. There isn't a equivalent with ice engines.
The Tesla electric motors spin at about 18k rpm at 155mph. But it can spin at whatever speed it's programmed to at whatever wheel speed that programing relates to since it's a direct one to one single speed...
No rpm with electric motors. All the peak torque/HP is available the moment your foot mashes the pedal at whatever speed........unless like the Taycan it is artificially limited unless you engage launch control.
Dyno is difficult for the reasons stated above among other reasons.
Redshift...
Draggy/Racechip/Dragstrip/Airport runs with timing equipment/ etc etc are all you need with EVs for the near future.
Anyone asking for dyno or actual horsepower measurements on an EV today is not wanting to modify and that is your prerogative. But it's just clogging these threads unnecessarily...
I doubt it will ever be like an on-and-off switch the way Tesla's are. But even Tesla's can be driven smoothly in traffic (I have had two). So the unfiltered response is more of removing the adaptation in throttle response. SO I am guessing it will make the car as snappy as Porsche tuned it...
From what I have read, the biggest differences in the Turbo and Turbo S with the tune is having access to all 800BHP at all times and not just during launch control mode. Outside of that, there will not be much of a performance change with 50bhp on a 5200lb car!!! maybe a 3mph increase in trap...
I have lane keep assist turned off, its just the damn warning that gets on my nerves. Still warns me even if I am dead center in the middle of the road.
Actually my experience has been sloppy handling with the taycan with pressures below 40psi. Only reason I stay between 42-46psi is for a more surefooted feeling when driving daily. The increase in grip is only from a stop, turning grip is reduced., but ride comfort is better. I can drive in full...
Camera systems that match my 5 to 10 year old BMWs and MBs would be awesome.
The fishbowl view really sucks and makes it useless for the most part. The surround view is actually good though.
If it was a genie giving me 3 wishes, then the next two will be
-Give me all my 750hp, not just under...
Mine likes to yank the steering wheel occasionally and yell at me to take over steering.......like who the f*** do you think has been steering the last 10 mins before your rude interruption??
Forgot to respond to this. I have historically always run faster with a higher trap speed at a dragstrip than with draggy on the street.
Now this was a few years back with a generation or two back for draggy, but the draggy was consistently slower than any of the two dragstrips near me on any...
As a side note, I feel like the Redshift tune will probably not give me more than a 10.1/10.2 et with 133-134mph trapspeed. I am basing this on the 2mph difference between me and @iamai. He is exactly 2 mph faster post tune at a similar SOC of 80% (I do 126-127mph around that SOC)
I will mostly...
Not sure, but I know that I had a lot more luck when I plugged in my phone to the center console (cable out, phone in cupholder).
Everything was on, Bluetooth etc. So I was still fully connected to the car playing music etc on the run (obviously paused the music on my phone).
PS do not forget to...
Yeah I've been drag racing since the late 90s, from high 11 second mustangs (wooooow those were stupid fast back then ?) through high 10 Second e55 AMG and w212 e63 AMG.
Learned a thing or two cos I've done a thing or two (cue Farmers insurance jingo). Previous times were all from the dragstrip...
Actually it really isn't optimistic at all, I run the same times with my Racebox as well but it doesn't have a great interface like the draggy screenshots give you.
Also, I guess I did not mention my M8 and my e63 were both quite modified. My e63 had every tune known to man customized over...
