There are multiple threads on this issue, but the problem is hardware related. As others have stated, the AWG of the internal components is just too high, causing the cables to overheat. It's not an issue that happens immediately. Most of us have had it happen about 12-18 months after having...
I can only echo what others have already said, but this gives me an excuse to post a picture. It's a deep blue that I absolutely love. It will have a purplish tint under very rare and specific lighting conditions, but no one will mistake it for a purple car.
Wanted to provide an update to this issue as I was having the same problem with charging errors and overheating of the Porsche supplied charger.
When I spoke to my dealer about this back in June, they didn't have an answer. I supplied them with the service bulletin posted in this thread at...
Sounds like you already have a fix scheduled, but as another point of reference, I have Android Auto on my 2020 TTS after the update (although I have not connected as I'm an iPhone guy).
That's what I was getting at. There are better, less expensive smart watches, e.g., the Apple Watch I wear every day and there are higher quality mechanical watches, e.g., the Baume et Mercier that sits in my drawer collecting dust. My thought was that this would give me the smartwatch...
Saw today that Tag announced a connected watch with a special Porsche collaboration:

I used to wear a nice Tag and a few other nice watches, but they now sit in my closet gathering dust...
I'm surprised you see anything other than 10 year old pick-up trucks around you....
I was up in the Poconos a few weeks ago. It really is a level 3 charger dead zone (like most of Central PA).
Question for those of you with a 2020 that had this update done (or if anyone just knows the answer): the official Porsche documentation says "Better availability of the plug-and-charge function". What does that mean? Will I now have the ability to plug-and-charge with my 2020?
One reason is that your lovely Porsche EVSE will stop supplying 40amp service in about a year:

My 2020 TTS is currently at the dealership where they are working to diagnose a charging issue (it starts and stops charging somewhat intermittently and randomly when plugged in at home) and the loaner they gave me is a 2022 RWD Taycan . My TTS is my daily driver that I've had for over a year...
Congrats on the car. I feel the same way about the Gentian. It looks especially nice right now under a nice thick coating of yellow pollen that is currently dominating the NE US.
