    New Porsche Car Charger

FWIW, in almost 9 years of EV ownership, I have never needed more than 9.6 kW charging at home. In fact I dial it back to 30A. Just my datapoint.

Charged half the battery capacity in 12 minutes ! Anybody can beat it ?

I saw a peak of 270 kW at an Electrify America 350 kW station three weeks ago. Charged from 0% (yes 0%) and was only there 18 minutes -> 32 kWh. Not quite as good as your results (only 106 kWh). My car didn't pre-heat the battery since the expected SOC at arrival was so low - so it started lower...

    Ping/Pop/Bounce.....Air Ride Issue?

There was another issue reported that was root-caused to a crimped/blocked air line to one of the air suspension dampeners, or possibly between the pressure canister and the dampeners. I know that while driving (especially after turns or acceleration or braking), when changing modes, and when...

    Ventilated seats always on?

[FAQ] - Why does the TeslaTap work?

How certain is anyone that Tesla Superchargers use DC and not AC? I don't know one way or the other - but it would conceptually be easier to design the charging infrastructure in the car if it only ever had to accept AC. That said, the existence of a CCS to Tesla adapter pretty strongly...

How many Miles per KW are you getting?

32 - 40 kWh/100 miles. This comes out to 2.5 - 3.125 miles per kWh. Turbo with Mission E wheels. When you first start driving in Sport Plus, your efficiency will suck because the battery is being pre-heated to a more optimal temperature. Best range I've seen is 256 miles. I usually figure 200 at...

Long beeping sound from dashboard drivers side randomly on or shortly after startup and shut down

Sounds kind of like the audio amp trying to amplify a signal from some other component that isn't powered up yet.

    Home Charger - Fault

Open the box and allow everything to cool. Unplug and re-plug if needed to get it to work again. Start charging. Use your hand with the box open and feel the 14-50 plug and the pigtail between the plug and PMCC itself. If the pigtail is starting to heat up at the plug only at first (vs. the...

    Pre-Cooling and Ventilated Seats

I have not even found a way to tell it to turn on or not to turn on ventilated seats when pre-cooling - only that if you de-select the driver or passenger zone, the corresponding seat ventilation won't come on either.

19.2kW charger fix for EA charging and Plug & Charge

Hopefully it's not too late - but if your car has no Porsche Telematics connection, deleting the main user will result in all of your user-related settings being lost - you won't be able to log in as any user. Don't do this unless your vehicle data on the Porsche website is up to date.

Taycan Charging Quick Reference [Profiles and Timers]

Next we should follow this up with use cases. For example, in my case I have a time of use rate plan so I want the car to charge during off-peak hours, which are weekends and specific hours during the week. So I should set preferred charging times in my profile right? I've found that's not the...

    Locked User Profile

Is your telematics data stale (on the Porsche website - is your mileage and state of charge out of date)? If so, have your dealer check for a faulty OTA module.

Anyone Get the Trunk Foot Wave Thing To Work?

The trunk sensor is offset to the right of center. Kick under the C in PORSCHE. Works every time for me.

Problems to fix - review after 12K miles

Yup - it works sometimes. Guessing the PPF is not helping. This is not at all much of a concern for me.

    Cell Phone Connection

If by cell phone connection you mean Bluetooth, then yes, I've been down for just over two weeks. Dealer has confirmed a faulty hardware module ("Communications module") and has a part on order. My symptoms included Bluetooth, Wifi, SOS calling, telematics, news, calendar, weather, and SmartLift...

Problems to fix - review after 12K miles

Trunk comfort access sensor location is offset right of center. Kick directly under the C in PORSCHE and you are in the right spot. To consistently open the front, I haven't found a way other than to wash the car.

    Charging limits

If you just want it to charge to 85% and stop, set your profile minimum to 85% and delete or disable all timers. Don't use preferred charging times - set for optimized charging. You only need a timer if you want a target charge at a later time, or want vehicle (and battery) pre-heating. Think of...

Incorrect GPS position - anyone had this fun new Taycan electronics problem?

About 16 days ago (ironically the day after returning from the dealer), my communications module (gateway module??) seems to have failed. This resulted in the simultaneous loss of SOS call functionality (neither red nor green light), Apple Car Play, Bluetooth, Wifi, Smartlift, News, Weather...
