For Porsche and some other exotics, the paint can have defects from the factory, including sanding marks.
I've only seen Rolls Royce with the best paint from the factory.
Mine had water spots etched in the paint that wasn't covered because it was sitting at the port in Emden for so long...
I had a 2026 Macan EV loaner for a week. It was not snappy and I had a ton of issues connecting Apple carplay and constant connection drops.
In contrast my J1.2 has been very good. IMO PCM is set it and forget it for the most part.
I run Carplay for Waze (for cops), phone and text. Not a lot...
In the US at least, these are generally installed at the port of entry.
OPs car will arrive at the VW Port in San Diego California, but the PECLA delivery center is in Carson, over 100 miles away.
Porsche paint can have flaws from the factory floor so even if installed at the factory, the...
The one J1.1 Porsche PPF install i saw was what you're describing. Pre cut but not exactly to the edges, not even fully aligned.
It would be nice if an installer could prep and PPF the the car at PECLA so its just waiting in the staging room for him
I' believe this would be installed at the port in San Diego. I would want the paint corrected before installing any PPF
I also didn't drive my car until it was fully PPFed, including the windshield. A 1000 mile trip is really risky for the windshield
It would be nice to get it fully done in...
The infotainment has been flawless for me. I use Carplay which instantly connects. Snappy, zero issues
The Manthey comes from the factory now. Not sure how they get around homologation
As specced in PTS Shark Blue: $388,300
This is great!
How have your results been for the car on the track? Any feedback?
Unfortunately in the US, we only get the 18way seats, not the bucket seats
Here are some more Manthey details...
I just saw the pre prototypes of the Q7 Etron and the Q8 (ICE)
It looks like Audi is going with this design language with their cars. They aren't playing it safe anymore.
The Q8 took some cues from the Lamborghini Lanzador
Audi needed to do something
Yes the Sapphire has modified suspension.
The Savagegeese video does a good job explaining why the Taycan suspension is better and even why the Sapphires torque vectoring isn't as good as the Porsche mechanical rear differential.
I'm tempted to put the $25k deposit to put my mind at ease...
$25k deposit and you can drive a Sapphire at a Studio.
I sat in a Sapphire and drove a Grand Touring (850hp).
It sits higher, more luxurious, less sporty interior, tons of room, good build quality/material/Fit & Finish.
There are a out 150 built it looks like.
Drove the Grand Touring and...
I think Porsche is using lower SOC as the marketing for consistency and to under promise, over deliver.
At 37% I'm SOC, I'm getting 937hp over boost
For the AMG, I would like to see the real power rating at lower and higher SOC.
Plus Mercedes & BMW can't consistently put the power down from...
