UPDATE -- One thing I'm noticing after weeks of driving with Apple CarPlay post-WSS4 is that it does not complain about not being in sync with the Porsche battery level. I suppose this could have been fixed by WSS4, but I'll continue to monitor and report if it happens again.

Interesting idea. Perhaps mount it on crossbars? I'm assuming you wouldn't drill a hole, but in order to get through the roof wouldn't you have to go either front or rear glass somehow? Curious to know if you do something like this.
