I have found chargers that would not accept P&C for my Taycan but others at the site would. Called CS and reported the defective charger. Hope this helps.
Jason Fenske, Engineering Explained would give you an "A" for the homework assignment! I felt like I was listening to Jason as I read your post. Nice job!

May want to read through this thread and others with reference to wet braking performance of PSCB Brakes: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/periodic-spongy-brakes-that-dont-stop-if-i-die-please-have-my-family-sue-porsche.9048/
Interesting report as the EA app shows all units available now. I have been to this charger several times and my experience is that most if not all chargers were available.
The CP Charger app does appear to have the amperage choice removed. However once set to 40 amps it holds that setting. Have no idea what happens when contacting tech support. The Porsche chargers can revert to 20 amps every time it is activated. Hope this helps.
I am suprised EA didn't start a complementary session for you. I have been to EA chargers recently and did find one charger that wouldn't start for my '22 Taycan so simply moved to another charger.
When you input the Grovetown charger the Nav app will display the anticipated SoC upon arrival. That will give you confidence about completing the leg sucessfully. Keep an eye on the arrival SoC and slow down if necessary to to keep a positive value. S/B no problem.
Good luck.
ABRP is way conservative to start with and the reference consumption for your car is 417Wh/mi which is too high as well. Reducing the reference consumption to 350Wh/mi helps. Your car should be able to go 250 miles @80mph, so no problem to get to Grove Town through Walterbroro without charging...
In the Charging ICON click on the [...] option lower right hand side and the next screen will have:
Battery Friendly charging option. The car will reduce its demand for power on 350kW chargers.
Using a 150kW charger will limit your charge rate to 175kW provided you have the 150kW/400V option...
Here are my observations running both the Porsche and Audi chargers on the Taycan. The car showed 86 degrees abient temperature, i'm in central Florida.
Porsche charger: Plug 113F, Pigtail at the charger input 113F, Wire @J1772 connector 125F.
Audi e-tron charger: Plug 107, Pigtail @ charger...
I will run some tests this afternoon and report back later today. I have the Porsche charger running now for a baseline. The pigtail and plug are not an issue at all so far. The highest temperature is the wire near the J772 plug, about 25 degrees higher than the plug after nearly an hour.
I do not have the charger with display screen. It's possible the the quality of the wire in the Prosche charger has more resistance than the etron unit?
My CP Flex Home charger says 9.4kW going to the car. So 9.4/240= 39 amps at the 14-50 outlet.
