" NOTE; this unit is shared across the VW/Audi/Porsche product lines)…so it's not just Porsche. "
The unit supplied with my '21 e-tron has much heavier gauge wire and runs considerably cooler than the Porsche unit supplied with my '22 Taycan.
Very interesting, please share any outcome from this conversation. As mentioned previously, my '21 Audi e-tron has a similar charger with heavier gauge wires that runs much cooler. Can't believe my '22 Porsche doesn't have the heavy guage wire.
The EVSE in my '21 Audi eTron looks like the Porsche charger but has larger wire and runs about 40 degrees cooler than the Porsche charger in my hot Florida garage. Usually use the CP Flex Home charger which gives me a report on usage.
For grins I filled out a Vroom form for my '22 RWD MSRP $115K plus 3K Wheel & Tire protection plan and received an 80K offer! Didn't bother calling to discuss the offer.
