The charging progress screen is accessed by pressing the right hand "continue" button below the charger display. It can take a while before the charging progress screen becomes active after pressing the button. The progress screen use to display immediately after pressing the continue button but...
EA must have a bug in the latest download. Pressing the continue button on the charger screen and then waiting for a minute or two and the progress screen eventually shows up.
I see that frequently here on the east coast. Just the other day in Naples Fl a charger had that message displayed. Maybe they are doing updates to the whole inventory.
Young kids take pictures of my Chalk RWD all the time. At chargers and parking lots young people have yelled out “nice car” Driving by.
We have been surprised how much notice this car gets.
Prior to the update I found EA chargers that didn’t work for P&C. After the update have found chargers that will authorize but fail to display the charging progress screen. Today found a charger in Naples that showed the authorization blue block but failed to start charging. Called EA CS and was...
After my update chargers still recognize my car and will charge the battery but the status screen on the chargers does not advance to the one showing the charging progress and the buttons on the charger didn’t work. Sounds more like an EA problem than a Porsche problem.
From Home Screen go to Charging and click the three dots on the bottom screen bottom right. The upper screen will appear. The top option is available if charging. If not charging it will be greyed out. Hope this helps.
This looks like a forward moving contact.
They did a software update and the alarm fix. I did not do a detailed examination the car at the dealership when I picked it up so can not blame them for sure. Waiting to see what their wheel man says. I have the wheel protection policy so can use that.
From the home screen In the charging settings there is an option to release the connector when charging stops. May want to check if that option is set in your car. With that option set, stopping the charging session at the charger control panel should unlock the connector. Finally there is a rip...
Yes, I suspect it happened on my recent visit but didn’t notice it when the car was picked up. Sent pic to Service advisor. He was suppose to ask his wheel tech for advice on how it could happen. If it happened pulling into the bay any way to be sure?
P&G is only good for E.A. chargers and takes a while to get started. Have run into E.A. chargers that will not P&C. I carry a handful of RFID cards for the various other vendors. RFID cards are fast and work when other methods do not. Get the car that has the oprions set you like the best. The...
When the button is red it can mean a loss of communication with the charger. Sounds like a possible problem with the charger. Would be good to try the supplied Porsche charger.
I have easy entry enabled, so fob was in my pocket. Since I just had the SW update thought it was due to the update. Checking with the dealer to see if anyone else has had this experience.
