Shortly after receiving the ANA6 update when opening the car doors the hood popped as well. [just once] Discovered when selecting reverse a "Hood Open" alert message in the third tube. Car is 8 mos old with 9K miles, this never happend before.
Since E.A. chargers are typically less than 70 miles apart the etron can stop at every other station. With 0-80% charging time less than 30 minutes the etron can road trip competitively with newer cars since bio breaks can chew up similar time easily.
Stopped by E.A. site in Tampa Fl. first charger would not auto-charge so moved to another that started right up. While chargng, notified E.A. C.S. about the charger that would not Plug & Charge.
Apparently each charger needs special software to perform the Plug & Charge service. Generally have...
Several times a year we visit Rehoboth De where there are no working DCFC. Forced to drive to a mall w/L2 chargers and Uber back to the house.
There are two Tesla SuC sites in the area so can’t wait for them to open up to CCS cars.
The whole DelMarVa peninsula is void of hardly any working DCFC...
CCS drivers charging on a Tesla SuC would activate the charger through an app on their smartphone. The driver would have to setup an account on the Tesla app ahead of charging.
Cherry red is awsome. In the 50's Candy Apple Red was popular. I have a '21 etron, the charger looks the same as the Porsche unit but has thicker wires in and out and runis 15 degrees cooler. Amazing that Porsche and Audi don't distribute the same EVSE. At home I use the Chargepoint Flex home...
From main menu click Charging, then in the lower right hand corner click the three dots which will send you to the next screen where you activate Plug & Charge.
I was parking the car, driving head into the spot when the car went into Park. Selected Drive and moved a few feet forward and it went into Park again. Might have been working the brake pedal.
Due to a slight incline of the pavement, it's possible the car started to roll backwards after...
Being familiar with some EVgo sites on the east coast, It's true most EVgo chargers are low power however, their newer deployments are up to date with power and speed; Jacksonville Fl having (4) 350kW and (2) 100 kW units. One of the 350kW chargers is down which is par for EVgo. In Norfolk Va...
There are areas of the country where there are no operational CCS chargers, like Delaware for example. I would be estastic for even a 50KW charger in Rehoboth De.
Hopefully, as time goes on the idea of anyone charging anywhere may become the norm.
The ChargePoint Flex home charger keeps track of your charging sessions on their server so you can view a consumption report to determine how much electricity the car is using.
I have a MY21 Audi etron that comes with a charger that look exactly like the Porsche with the exception the cables in and out of the charger body are noticable thicker. The Audi charger runs much cooler 85F even in my hot FL garage, the Porsche 125F . I spoke with my Porsche service agent and...
I've got one in the boot for the odd occasion I hit a CHAdemO only station - but what's the relevance?
If Tesla drivers are upset by non-Tesla cars charging on the Tesla SuC nework they have to remember some of their Tesla brothers have been using CCS chargers for some time now. In addition...
I hope Tesla opens up their SC network to non-Teslas here in the US. There are places where there are no CCS fast chargers but plenty of Tesla SC sites.
Thanks for the reply everyone. Yes, the wife is slow exiting the car and her purse is on the center console with the extra key. We were thinking it had something to do with her late exit but hadn't put the "automatic on" into the equation yet.
MY21 RWD occasionally upon exiting the car and closing the door the car will not lock, the problem is the car has turned on by itself.
Am I doing something wrong?
