Yes, Texas does have those "time of use" plans for sure, but I am just in a flat rate contract for the next ~11 months. I may look to change it up when my contract expires. However, you have to be careful with those as well, as sometimes the "nights and weekends" are cheap/free, but the...
Fair enough. Time is definitely the most valuable thing we have. I waste too much of it on this forum, lol. Hey, I could surf this forum while I am waiting for my car to charge on the side of the road. Hmmmnmm......
Hey, I like to save money where ever I can, and it has worked well for me my whole life. It's the reason I can afford a Taycan.
It's the same reason most on here are trying to get the timers and profiles to work so they charge during their "cheap" times at night. Should all those people not...
Here's my situation - I drive about 35 miles to work each day (70 miles roundtrip) using the Taycan. I have been charging up at home at night each day or every other day. It's very convenient to just have the car "full' every morning. My electricity plan doesn't have "nights and weekends"...
This is what I did as well. I bought the Mustart travel charger ($379), and it's much smaller than the PMC+/PMCC. It seems like cheap insurance to always have a way to charge when in a bind.

This is exactly what I do. I don't use the profiles at all. I just use a simple timer. I set the timer for the car to be at 85% at 6:00am. It seems to work perfectly.
This is what I have always been told. You run over the nail with your front tire, which kicks it up, and the back tire hits it while its not yet flat on the road, which leads to the puncture.
It will take about that long to charge your car on 120v :CWL:
In all seriousness, you will be fine charging using the garage door plugs. You will be charging your car overnight when the doors won't be in operation anyways. You would probably also be fine using the circuit with the fridge on...
I usually just do something inexpensive and non-descript like the following black stainless steel frame.

They also make black stainless steel screws (or your can pick them up locally at the hardware store for a few...
