For boot liner, I went with this
https://www.overthetop.co.uk/porsche-taycan-cross-turismo-2021-onwards-custom-bootliner/
Perfect fit and covers the entire boot, not just the floor. Waterproof backing, easy to clean/wash to looks good too (IMHO)
Hmm. Just been out to measure the depth on mine. Michelin same set from new this time last year. 18k miles with plenty of motorway, but plenty of fun West Country back roads too. Still 5-6mm all round.
My experience, with Aviva as the insurer. Called up the insurer's glass replacement number, went straight through to National Windscreens. Told them that my car had the noise/thermal insulation and they said it would be a Porsche screen that they would order from the local dealer, go and pick...
Not sure there is much more information in this press release, but planning to go from 186 to 700 points before the end of the year seems ambitious, even with the list in this thread so far...
I had exactly the same sort of chip in the same spot. Our insurer (Aviva) took a moment to be told that it was a Porsche with the thermal glass and there was no hassle. National Windscreens was used to do the work and they ordered the glass in from Porsche. They do windscreens all day every day,
Yep. Used Solstice a few times now and always good. Depending on your preference, you could always head up the M5 a little further and come off at Taunton to then cut across east via Solstice Park. That way you can use Ionity at Cullompton as an interim
I agree that the 22KW is overkill for home. I got the 22kW for work charging rather than home. We have a limited number of charge points, but they are all 22KW capable. Chargin faster means I don't block the space for the whole day, when someone else could get the charge they need.
There are...
Can't say I have a reason, but I noticed the same behaviour. I charge mostly at work on 22KW and if it is full and still plugged in, when I set a departure and pre-heat timer, the car is toasty and I get in with 100% still. Today I left early and even though it was still fully charged and...
Bit of a thread resurrection, but I finally bought a boot liner from Over The Top. It arrived yesterday and I think looks pretty good in place. It is made to order in the UK and comes in 6 separate pieces (two for the split rear seats, both sides of the boot, base and bumper flap) and took...
I got a BMW 530d with 15k miles on the clock. Not great.
My dealer is part of a group that, on the same site, has Porsche, BMW, Mini, Aston Martin, Lotus, McLaren, Lamborghini, Bentley, so I was a touch disappointed :-)
I asked whether any re-calibration was needed for a new windscreen, when the car went in for the software recall yesterday....
"as an average you shouldn’t need to calibrate anything, we do say in some cases to have the calibration carried out if there are any abnormalities but if everything is...
Mine is in today (and I got a crappy BMW as a loan car). Also in for a separate minor niggle, but when talking with the dealership, they said that the software update could wait until the next service (for me, about 10 months away). Make of that what you will, but to me it says that this is...
Not sure this will be helpful, as it is from a UK perspective, but I just had to have my windscreen replaced when a chip turned in to a foot long crack. Insurance has a £150 excess (is that co-pay in the US?) and as the car is a company vehicle, I had to pay the VAT (tax) on the total cost of...
It wouldn't take much for either a vehicle app or charge provider app to send message to a user's phone when an 80% SOC is reached, or rate of charge has dropped off significantly to let them know their journey will be quicker if they stop charging now and get another sip later on, and they...
I'd love Ionity to add more bays in to J17 of the M4. 2 out of the 6 are currently US. I got in to the last free bay of the other 4 and all the other cars were sipping their last few KW at 95%+ SOC (a Merc EQ, Audi Q4, Polestar). I added 45KW in 10 minutes and the Merc added had taken 45...
