True, maybe yours does have the 12v battery and is impacted by the strikes at the dock and mine just doesn’t have the battery so not even made it to the port yet!
They tease us with build completion pictures then make us wait another 4 months to see it in the flesh!
They said it's due to the 12 volt battery supply issue...but then also said it could be related to the dock strikes...seems nobody knows what's happening.
For completion here's the updated schedule:
Well not great news at all, got an updated tracking print out today and expected delivery is now 25/11/2022! Original expected delivery was 29/07/2022. According to the schedule it’s going to sit at Emden port for 4 months having completed it’s build on 14/07/2022.
Hopefully it arrives before Xmas!
I live in the NE of England too and always use winter tyres. A few years back when "the beast from the east" arrived I was pretty much the only car that could get up my steep bank that I live on (hilly Northumberland!). I guess it depends heavily on location but for me it's a no brainer to stick...
Good spot! Seems from reading up on here recently a fair few are having issues with cracked panoramic roofs...that's pretty much unacceptable from Porsche. Luckily I did not spec the panoramic roof but I do feel for those who are suffering from this issue as for a car in excess of 100K it should...
Honestly there is very little difference between the MY22 and the MY23 version....except for MY23 being more expensive! My MY22 is built pending delivery and I was delighted to squeeze in before the MY23 as it saved me approx £4K
I am also picking up my Taycan from Teeside (was due for delivery today) but got held up in germany and now scheduled for end of September delivery! So very interested to hear how you get on with your delivery.
If the information in this link: https://www.evo.co.uk/porsche/205012/porsches-future-roadmap-revealed-increased-focus-on-ev-models-electric-718-here-by?fbclid=IwAR28j-9LRGZljr4ifB6LUI4UxzSNqAO09Z5g3U0Nm7hEJE4l0QuAJZmjD34&fs=e&s=cl is accurate then the Taycan refresh is not due until “later in...
Very nice you must be like a kid in a sweet shop! Have not worked out in my head weather to have the green EV bit on my private reg when it goes on to match the Mamba Green!
My Mamba 4S ST is also produced and should be delivered in the next couple of months. Colours are of course personal choices but for me there’s no point getting a Porsche in any of the normal “boring” colours like black/white or grey.
Yes that's true, ST did not get announced in all body shapes until January 2022...so if I look at it that way it's only been 7 months! But porsche have had my deposit for 15 months.
I think out of fairness on when the deposit for an actual confirmed model was made yours is close to being the...
I thought it would be nice to see how long some people have been waiting for their Taycan to be delivered from the date of deposit to point of delivery (or if not taken delivery yet...how long it's been so far!)
I'll edit this top post to name and congratulate the most patient...
Your going to get a lot of contrasting opinions ranging from those who state you need a ton of options added for it to be tolerable to those who state minimal is fine.
At the end of the day the base car with no options is still an awesome car! Everything else is icing on the cake. As a side...
The saddest part about all this is that nothing with Porsche sales surprises me anymore. I suspect there is a load of baloney being talked there...and that the real reason they sold it to someone else was based on getting offered more cash for it.
This will be my first Porsche and hands down...
Yes I think that’s what it is, car has been produced but cannot leave the port until they source a battery. Cannot think of any other reason for the 2 month delay at the port and my SA basically confirmed that was the case…though he did say the time lines may come forward as that was a worst...
