Charging doesn't stop to the 80% limit set.

That's just completely wrong. That doesn't make any sense. This way it starts to charge to 85% immediately and that's it. You only need the timer. @lory995 : remove all timers and profiles, that'll reset the charging planner. Set a timer to 80%, like you did before, that's all.

Nexperia war on chips and Porsche

https://www.autonews.com/manufacturing/suppliers/ane-nexperia-chip-crisis-1017/ Is Porsche affected by this? Anyone ordered a Taycan and has heard of a possible delay in delivery?

J1.1 Taycan High Voltage Battery Reliability Survey

Your answers are in that thread. It's about read-outs from random members and it shows most batteries are perfectly fine, about 98%. 🤓

Me neither. Besides, I don't have enough room to park 3500 Taycans.

J1.1 Taycan High Voltage Battery Reliability Survey

Only valid conclusion is: most batteries are perfectly ok and within tolerance. What more do you want to know? We already knew that from the thread of Ct14garage and his software to monitor the battery. 98% of the battery read-outs were ok (∆V <0.03V and system isolation values). If you like...

Class action filed Sept 25 against Porsche

Agree. I really don't understand why you are making up all these comparisons about other aspects of the car. It's about charging, nothing else, let's call it what it is. I think we all agree it's a downgrade and Porsche should reimburse that if you have paid for that option. You can discuss if...

J1.1 Taycan High Voltage Battery Reliability Survey

Sure, we're all speculating here but normally, if a battery has been under a certain amount of load in a certain timeframe, the difference in voltage is a good indication of health, that's just common knowledge. You can monitor that yourself. Within a tolerance there's no need to mark a module...

Class action filed Sept 25 against Porsche

True, IF you can't charge DC either. Your comparison about giving you half a battery isn't a good comparison (either, again). Half a battery is half the performance, so totally different thing, not relevant imho. It's also highly dealer-dependent cuz some are just plain ignorant for whatever...

I've seen 10,1 kW on the display of the car (in-app) charging at my company with 11 kW chargers though.

J1.1 Taycan High Voltage Battery Reliability Survey

Not entirely true. If a battery has good modules they all wear evenly. The problem is that early modules (A-F) wear unevenly but not all. If it hasn't shown in, let's say 30.000 km, it probably won't show in the future. Batteries do degrade by use though. Let's hope defects will show within 8...

So the poll is the worst case scenario: < 18,3% has had module(s) replaced. That's actually great! According to the thread of Cris most batteries are perfectly fine so this poll is actually showing that. 😉

One more time, do I need to maintain 12 volt battery long term storage?

Att: Porsche ATI. From that same ATI:

I always use Vaseline, €3.49/100ml. Apply with brush. It reconditions the rubber and gives a nice matt black finish. Before: After:

Don Breaks His Taycan - The Saga of the 12v Battery

Your 12V battery doesn't need a trickle charger, that's a problem of the past. But if you are going to store the car for a longer period of time you can disconnect the 12V battery. A 12V battery dies from draining, not from not being used (to a certain extent of course). But if you still want...

I never said AC+DC aren't one module. One can work without the other though. I can recall cuz I have that option when I bought the car new in 2019. Only 11 kW OBC available, 19,2 kW OBC came later and had that option as standard. Option list: It was a €364 option. 😉

That has nothing to do with this. That's about DC charging. Not all 150 kW fast chargers supported 800V architecture back then (400V was still standard) so your charge rate was 50 kW max if I recall correctly. With option you could get an intelligent OBC support which converted that to 150 kW.
