Some say there is a new version from a new supplier as I read on other forums. Cannot confirm, just read, but seems legit. Anyone else heard this?
Apparently 10 units hit the UK. Perhaps others to the USA?
They do indeed have a new 22kW OBC, at least in switzerland. They have it as a spare part.
But only on the new Cayenne EV and as a spare part for the Cayenne EV.

My dealer said there is no service bulletin about installing it in a Taycan or Macan EV yet.
He could be wrong or intentionally missleading, wouldn't be the first time - taycan customers are hated by porsche and dealerships :D

They finally managed to recover my car off the drive - had to wait 3 days for the right recovery vehicle to show up! So car is back at OPC now and I am waiting to hear what they say re 11kW downgrade - I am not at all happy. The car also need a new glass roof that stress cracked, PCM update for Nav and some leather repairs to previous damage they caused on the dash.

In 2.5 years of ownership, ive logged 21 issues, each requiring at least one service visit! Its exhausting. So I am looking for a favourable outcome on this one due to all the history ive endured!

My 22kw OBC has just gone! Tripped the breaker on the EVSE last night, and now I have the 'Electrical System Fault' message and the car won't move.

OPC has said (without even looking at the car), that its certainly the OBC and that they will have to replace it with a 11kW one. They said I'd get a credit back for the option cost, plus £1,500.

This happened two days after my glass roof cracked.

I've honestly had such a torrid time - car has been back to OPC over 30 times in the 2.5 years of ownership. I am so frustrated and disappointed.

Currently waiting for recovery.

Amusingly, this is the list of alerts currently showing on the PCM:
  1. Automatic light control fault
  2. Intersection Assist not available
  3. TPM fault
  4. Rear Cross Traffic Alert not available
  5. E-Sound fault
  6. WBA restricted
  7. Cruise control: fault
  8. Chassis failure (this is a red one, now also showing on the dash!)
  9. Power steering restricted
  10. Differential lock failure
  11. Electrical system fault
  12. Vehicle lighting fault
  13. Pedestrian protection system fault
  14. Brake cooling failure
  15. All-wheel system failure
😮💨
Perhaps time to engage a lawyer...this is beyond one may find acceptable for a car in this segment
