After 6 months of owning a 2021 4S 79kwh Taycan the range is still improving. Now getting 305km at 80%. When I picked it up in March it was around 255km.
Whats everyone else seeing at 80%? I presume this is good?

My 2022 CT4 shows about 240-250 miles (386-402km) at 100% charge (same as when I calculate full range based on my 80% reading). That range works fine for me both locally and on road trips. There are some pretty remote places in Texas that I have to carefully plan for. McDonald Observatory out near Fort Davis TX is one of those places on my list within the next couple of months.

I am getting this exact estimate at 80% but the more important thing is do you get this range in your drives? After every trip, I compare the trip miles to the range estimate reduction, and I often see a discrepancy. For example, for a 50 miles trip, I see a drop of 53 miles. But sometimes after you let the car park for a while you see the range estimate goes back up on its own making up for the disappearing miles. For example, after my last trip it shows 48% and 116 miles remaining. I check again later that evening and I saw it changed to 51% and 120 miles remaining. But, sometimes on the following trip instead of losing an extra 3 miles, it loses the 3 miles + 4 miles it gave back previously. In summary, the range estimator is all over the place and can't be trusted.

@Glenn - I've owned MY22 RWD w/79kwh battery since new. Getting similar SOC as you. No battery degradation. Realize, too, that the warm weather helps. Cold winters in Central US are a different story and just have to make adjustments during those months. Happy journey's everyone!

Out of curiosity what's your aver consumption? Mine is about 17.7kw/100km which is about 3.6miles/kwh. I presume the 4S is not as economical as the RWD?

@Glenn - 3.2 miles/kWh over the last 675 miles. I drive it aggressively (who doesn't?), usually, unless just in-town. Recorded with days 3.6 and days at 2.6. Quite similar to your experience.
