Impressive battery size for such a small car.

There are EVs / EV platforms built in europe that are quite a bit larger with smaller batteries 😅

50kg heavier than the original car with a full tank - 320km of range. Impressive.

400V arhitecture, 10-80% in 30 mins. Not as impressive.

There are a few companies doing very decent electric conversions on classics here in the U.K. now. I’m toying up an original Mini Cooper EV conversion but it’s head vs heart and head is winning

I've been dreaming for 20 years to convert one of the transaxle porsches to electric. The (financial) head is still winning, but at least it's finally getting closer to possible.

https://www.youtube.com/@ElectricClassicCars has done conversions for at least 911, 912, 928 and 944.

Mostly no weight increases or even weight balance changes, IIRC.

I would do it in a heartbeat. Just need my kids to get a bit older so I can "downgrade" to a 2 or 4-seater.

Sounds like I'm in a minority here, but this seems sort of..... sacrilegious?
