In general the J1.2 lower variant will be more powerful than the J1 variant above.
So a stock J1.2 GTS will have more power than a stock J1 Turbo.

IMO the tune is a trivial cost and should be applied to any Taycan, regardless of platform or variant.

The J1.2 has a lot more potential to get increased power due to improved battery, larger rear motor.

60-130mph is the most important data point for Me because that's where we drive spirited the most

Not wanting to be a wet blanket, but I have to agree with @Argo and @TonyR about the need for additional HP for the Taycan Turbo on public roads (or on the track for that matter).

I haven't used FT on my Turbo S for some time, and I haven't used LC in years. I get plenty (well, not enough) time on the track with my old fashioned normally aspirated, 6 speed Cayman Interseries. I just don't feel the need or desire to displace my inner organs using the immense power of the Turbo S. I really have to question the circumstances where you would need, or even feel additional HP over the 800 you currently have. As far as tracking the car, again I don't understand why you would buy a 5,000 lb. luxury sedan for $200K+ and want to drive it on the track. Anyone here regularly track their Taycan?

Just my $.02, but I would stick with what you have, and spend the saved money on a track car if that's what you like.

Also over here in Germany, one can use all the power on the Autobahn.

Is the correct (best) answer!! Only the drifting part is outside of my skill set and you'll be needing balls of steel as the other side of those little concrete bollards is a very long way down....

My track is Berthoud Pass in Colorado. It's tops out at 11,300'.
17 switchbacks of new, widened asphalt. I always go for a new PB and frequently squeal the tires. 11:37 is my best in the Taycan and overall. I've taken a few monster ice cars on it but those gas engines lose ~30% hp at 10k'. Taycan is pure bliss, sublime...

PS, love those yellow calipers behind the cheese graters.

I agree! It gives an extra pleasure while driving the extra push, even in short acceleration situations

Is there a Strava for driving? ?

Well yes, sort of, Porsche Track Precision app, that links up to your PCM.
It's not an online community thing but it does have mapping and some interesting performance analytics.
As the name suggests it is intended for track use, but I suppose somebody might care to use it elsewhere.......
