What I do not know to address @garegin question if InnoDrive is required to have ALK operate from 0mph speeds.
I will check on the next drive by turning off the ALK and seeing what it does or does not do in traffic.
I will then turn on the ALK and turn off Innovdrive.

I just checked the manual of 2020 and I am NOT correct about ACC alone not stopping the car and restarting again. I will reference ALK now what it does differently as far as speeds go. I am CORRECT about ACC only available to engage when speeds are 19 mph or more where I believe InnoDrive can be set at 0 mph to take over automatic cruising, but there is no reference to that in the manual. ALK works from 0mph, just checked the manual.

I can test it today by having InnoDrive off but ACC and ALK on, although all my features are from factory.
Would really appreciate if you could do the above.

never trust the dealer people of what is possible
I forwarded this thread to my guy at the dealer. He told me he is going to forward it to the regional manager who told them this is not possible. So I def don't hold it against him, but at the same time, I have always been a rebel and I am not going to stop being one today.

>>> I tried it and ACC + ALK works just fine. ACC can only be engaged at 20mph but then it takes over and can start/stop and ALK keeps you in the center. A known complaint about ALK, is that it is on when the green icon of the steering wheel is on and off when that icon goes grey, but no indication is given when it goes on or off, as it just decides based on conditions, so you have to be alert more than any other car that has that feature.

Bottom line, I see no reason for you to spend on InnoDrive.

Boggles the mind that this level of miscommunication exists with almost a $grand a pop of total pure profit per car per ALK and InnoDrive. How many tries we had to make to convince you to call corporate? They should be blasting this to anyone with ACC and no ALK trying to sell it. They do not have FOD for new Taycan or Macan EV to add ALK or InnoDrive with people asking for it who just got ACC from factory willing to pay whatever.

Yeah. This is a bit concerning. My BMW made a sound to let you know it disengaged the system, so you knew you had to take over. Sounds like you guys are saying Porsche silently disengages. Very weird choice.

You have to check your window sticker if you have Innodrive optioned and Yes, if this is not optioned, then you do not have it! @Midlifecrisis is correct that at least at some point in the past if you have ACC you could add InnoDrive as a FOD later, but as far as we know the FOD program has been shut down.

I am happy to take a moment and take a picture of my left tube where you will know right away if you have it or not.
TLDR this entire thread, so someone may have already corrected the statement that you must get Innodrive to have ALK. My 2021 4s has ACC and ALK but I don’t have Innodrive. I can option Innodrive if I like and it will be installed via FOD.

For the record, the combination of ACC and ALK does a good job of keeping the car in the center of the lane on long drives and allows you to slow down to 0 mph and start again automatically.

I may still option Innodrive, but I haven’t done it yet since I didn’t see a need.

So on the drive home from work today, I disconnected ALK but lnnodrive was active - Traffic jam assist worked perfectly. I was unable to disconnect Innodrive perhaps because I was driving. My take, you have to have Innodrive for Traffic jam assist to work.

What is the definition of Traffic Jam Assist that is different than ALK + ACC? Is it that it works on low speeds?

I am jealous. I just reached out to porsche NA for my25 a second time after 4 months and they said not possible to add FOD for these options despite earlier model years having access. Major disappointment, especially considering even to this day they still have the FOD page posted on their website.

Did they tell you why? Are you missing the hardware? Here is what they told me.

This is what I found on the internet so it must be true

1733525572571-2c.webp
This is the description from ICE Macan where they do use the term Traffic Jam Assist to get you to spend $800 more on top of LKA and ACC. This does not apply to the Taycan as stated.

My understanding on the description of operating principal ALK includes Traffic Jam Assist on the Taycan with Traffic Jam Assist language never shown in the PCM. If you get ALK via FOD then you are good!

You have a my25?
Pardon my complete lack of knowledge about this terminology. What is "MY25"? I have a 2024 Taycan Turbo S. I don't know what "MY" is. Is it Model Year? If so, mine is 2024.
