Based on the profile picture, it is a 2024.
I hope they will enable it for 2025 Taycan and Macan EV in the future.

Yea they disabled the ability to upgrade like you did for the new cars, without telling anyone prior to taking 2025 orders.

This is confusing. In my searches it appears that FOD is available for MY25 Taycans, but some posters here are saying that is not the case.

Can someone please clarify this for me? I would find it odd that Porsche would make FOD unavailable in the latest Model Year.

Your best bet is to call corporate. 2025 launch presentations make no mention of FOD being available and I have pages of them filled with many other things, but no mention of FOD.

It appears they prioritized this that they call "video streaming while driving"!

Anyone asked for this? I am sure a clueless focus group that will never buy the car.

I participate religiously in all the Porsche Executive Council surveys. I remember two surveys over the last two years that extensively surveyed FOD and another that explored the PCM video option (among other options). If I had to guess, the FOD has been discontinued because the support team cost more than the OEM was making on it. Most folks buying a Taycan have no idea about FOD as dealers will always try to sell the full cost option not a monthly subscription.

I learned about FOD from this forum, not the dealer and my Taycan is a CPO so they weren't losing any $ on telling me about it. It is just not in the culture of car sales to promote benefits which aren't for "self". Promoting or advocating FOD benefits Porsche and the CPO buyer. No need to waste the oxygen talking about it since it generates zero dollars to the dealer or salesperson.

For whatever it’s worth, I bought a CPO 2021 Taycan 4S yesterday and was able to purchase ALK as an FOD while I was waiting for the dealership to finish my paperwork. It worked great on the drive home yesterday but that’s the sum total of my experience with it so far.
