Too bad I can't wait to get to work on it, just want to make sure it works before I open everything up againI wasn’t able to attempt yet.
i tried testing the animations in the piwis while i had my lights out and a temporary LIN connected. no luck. since then i have found a few more settings in PIWIS that may had needed to be turned on for that to work though. I had welcome_light not_active at the time. no idea what the other animations do.Is there any news here
Has anyone managed to make it work?
On the forum yes.I assume this is a dead project now?
https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1Ec7SoMVVd/got any links/indicative pricing? sounds cool, but i'm going to assume its going to cost a lot and is a lot of work to fit them.
Cheapest offer was 1600 to me.got any links/indicative pricing? sounds cool, but i'm going to assume its going to cost a lot and is a lot of work to fit them.
I would stay away from Bruce. I found him through Facebook for the taillight retrofit project, as he posted a video on the several groups- I decided against it but ordered a spoiler from him and some mission E wheels. This guy starts out very responsive to messages, but has ZERO attention to detail and will ship terrible quality items. I was fortunately able to cancel the wheels upon seeing a photo of them that were clearly not the right color, but the RZ spoiler I received came damaged due to poor packing (not the shipper's fault), missing the mounts, and zero instructions - even though he assured me he would include an installation process. He then later shipped the mounts but were HORRIBLY machined (and had imporperly spaced/drilled holes) and ultimately I could not use them. It was his behavior towards me that really makes me want to say STAY AWAY FROM BRUCE LAN. He accused me of damaging the spoiler on both tips, then got angry with me that I did not open the box with video in front of the shipper while they were dropping it off at my house (the shipment didn't even require signature so I wasn't even home when it was delivered), he did not apologize for forgetting the mounts, he did not include instructions even though he had promised to do so, and would not acknowledge any fault of his own. I am only out $700 with him, but I caution anyone who buys from his Alibaba store- he will say yes to anything you ask, but you're on your own when it comes to any issues you encounter or instructions.https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1Ec7SoMVVd/
The guy is on Alibaba and he's called Bruce Lan on Facebook and is a trusted member of our Taycan group.

I was going to order a full set of rear lights, turn signals and center bar. I just asked him for a video showing the turn signal animation, which he said via a FB comment reply it would have. He just said the video was on his page but I looked through them and couldn't find any such video. I messaged back and it was cricket town from there on. For $2k+ I'd expect better communication. I bought a $10k Iron Man wearable costume from a fantastic guy in China. He was responsive, accommodating and great to work with. That suit is worth every bit the money. I went back for a Master Chief costume and he didn't disappoint. Bruce could learn a thing or two from my Iron Man guy.I would stay away from Bruce.
