I am pleased with the much bigger 2025 changes, e.g., larger battery, more range, more HP/TQ, push to pass button. and similar.

id be happy if mine would just stick on red but it changes on its own to dynamic all of the time.

also not surprised the .2 has a color wheel, its the exact type of thing porsche would have designed in the .1 and held back for the refresh.

That looks like an easy pcm update?
There are quite a few things that should fall into this camp.

Of course if they architected the software badly, then it will be a problem.

And if they feel these updates might sway people to the J1.2, then that will be a "problem".

We'll see. I'm not holding my breath.

Colour wheel on my new GT that I picked up today. Set to purple obviously ?

Very interesting… from my MY25 CT4, delivered June. Really first world problem, maybe different sw version.

Am borrowing a CT4 this week while mine has the brake and heater recall sorted....and it's the same as yours.

Which makes the situation even more nuts as Porsche currently have 3 different versions of the software for ambient lighting control... J1 and then 2x J1.2.

As far as I am aware, with PIWIS they don't flash all the modules to the newest version, because reasons... they only flash in whats required by the service recall / work package.

Example of PIWIS folder sturcutre (behind the "fancy" piwis interface) for 911/982 platform software, with the flash packet for every individual little thing.

It's possible some cars have a newer version of the LED lights software installed than others.
Most of these things aren't done via OTA, for unknown reasons. So while you may receive new OTA PCM version, the actual LED software might still be the old one.

I don't have the color wheel but I noticed this in the the My Porsche app in CarPlay today. There is a new little control on all screens or at least I had not noticed it last I was in here long ago "Controls":

And when you touch that, you get this:

Pretty limitless control of the color of the Ambient Lights. No idea when this showed up, and it requires you to not be in in "Dynamic" mode. Huge improvement though for me.

That's in CarPlay isn't it?

Bugger. Not an iPhone user.

If you set a colour in CarPlay, when you close CarPlay does the colour stay set?
