My suspicion is that this N-rated "testing" is less actual drive testing, and more about co-marketing deals and/or bulk discounts. The problem is what they are researching and testing for may not be what I am looking for. They went with garbage Procontact RXs didn’t they? Pilot Sport 5, Assymetric 6, Continental Sport Contacts are all newer and in the first 2 cases replaced the NF0 tires.
Yes they are.Michelin PS4S are not N-rated.
That's quite a stretch, IMO.If your car has a problem with the drivetrain and/or suspension and you don't have the specific tires on, Porsche won't take responsibility and put it outside the warranty.
It's just that simple.
It's your choice.
These are the recommended fit summer tyre on every UK Taycan I have seen with 20’ wheels.Michelin PS4S are not N-rated. I will absolutely fit them (again) soon when the P-Zeros on my GTS burn up.
Nice. Just put a set of those Pilot Sport 4's on my wifes X5M.These are the recommended fit summer tyre on every UK Taycan I have seen with 20’ wheels.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4. NFO.
If you can find those tire sizes, I'd imagine it should be fine. Stock Taycan wheel/tire fitment is on the stretched side so slightly increasing width will be fine from that perspective. There was a taycan that ran a 275 front and 325 rear on a staggered 20/21 setup so we know a 275 should fit up front.Piggybacking this question - anyone ever go wider to square up the shape of the tire, fill out the wheel well a bit, and give the wheel a hair more rim protection?
275 up front and 315/325 in rear. Strongly considering this on Mission E’s.
Think Derek is talking about Pilot Sport 4S, vs Pilot Sport 4. The 4S is a more aggressive "full" summer tire, while the 4 is more of a mild summer tire / 3 season tire. I have the OEM PS4 on my Taycan and has noticeably more grip in the cold-ish (40 degrees F) than PS4S I've had in the past on other cars, but also less grip in warm conditions. These are the recommended fit summer tyre on every UK Taycan I have seen with 20’ wheels.

Forgot to add: I was talking about 21" wheels (as it's the topic's subject). These are the recommended fit summer tyre on every UK Taycan I have seen with 20’ wheels.
