My switch has happened this morning. I’ve been asked to submit a meter reading so will do this shortly. I take it my 4 hours octopus this morning 1230-430 would have been at ovos 35p rate? And it doesn’t official start when I submit a reading? Ovo App not doing anything yet. Need to get on anytime quickly as battery only half full and don’t fancy paying 35p for too long! In house smart meter showing 0.67p so hasnt registered any charge ( car has charged though)
Have you downloaded the OVO Charge Anytime App and linked it to your Porsche account?

no, only the standard Ovo app currently. It won’t let me do much currently. Just shows the below and won’t let me do anything.

Can I link the anytime app to car when my account hasn’t been set up yet? ( will download it now and see what happens!)!

OK shouldn't be long. Mine took 2 days to fully complete the switch. They need to find both your meters before you can log in on both Apps. On day one I got a message on my in home display saying Gas meter initialised (or something like that) then it took two days to get the second message "electricity meter initialised " after which I could log in on both Apps and add my Porsche credentials to the Charge Anytime App

Can you measure the live charge rate through the cable to the evse and compare to the charge rate shown in the car. For example my car usually displays a charge rate of 6.8kwh to 6.9kwh when I first plug in at home and soc is below about 70%. I've read that +/- 10% can be lost through cables and evse so if your car or My Porsche App is showing 6.7kwh then evse could be pulling +/- 7.4kwh
Yes, I can measure this. I’ll take a look next time I need to charge.

Log into your account on the OVO Energy web site. This will show your account details much earlier than the mobile apps (in my case, it showed information at least a week earlier). I set up the ChargeAnytime app once details had appeared on the web site. You may be able to link it earlier than that just as soon as 1/2 hourly SmartMeter readings are established to OVO Energy’s backend servers.

No it was one supplied by a previous supplier after which I switched to Shell Energy then Octopus then OVO so Octopus one should show messages from OVO

Did the charging measurements today. Charged from 66% to 90% starting at 13:00 and finishing at 16:36. Monitored power delivered to the EVSE and reported on the centre console. During the test period, calculated losses appeared to run at around 7%. For example, at 66% SoC, the center console read 6.4KW and the delivered power was 6854W yielding a 6.6% loss and at 85% SoC, the center console read 6.4KW while power delivered was 6884W yielding a 7.0% loss.

At the end of the charge, the OVO ChargeAnytime app reported a rebate on 21.2KWh. However, 25KWh were actually delivered to the EVSE. That’s a loss of 15.2%. Where did the other 8.2% loss occur? Is this in the DC converter and charger etc? I guess 15% loss is not beyond reasonable. It does suggest that using OVO ChargeAnytime with one of their supported EVSEs rather than with a supported car like the Taycan might yield better savings because surely the supported EVSEs will report power sent to the car prior to charge cable and on-board losses.

Interestingly, immediately after the charge completed, OVO ChargeAnytime reported a rebate on only 20KWh, but this subsequently went up when I viewed it an hour later.

It would be interesting to know how frequently the kaluza software polls the car. I've noticed that when I first plug in, the car will start charging but the Charge Anytime App will say vehicle is unplugged so I'm guessing a small loss until Kaluza software has spotted yhe car is plugged in a d charging?

Just got my first month's rebate from OVO Charge Anytime - £40+. I might now ditch the OVO Economy 7 tariff too as EV overnigfht charging was my main night time use factor. The single rate is much lower during daytime hours.
The 10p/kwh tariff EV Anytime beats anything else out there and with the convenience of being at home a total winner for me.

I wanted to move to this but we have solar panels being fitted next month. Would I then get chucked off the tariff? There is no point moving for 4 weeks. I don’t have an Indra charger that works with solar on that tariff

So can’t switch to charge anytime. I’m probably being impatient but was hoping it would have kicked in by now. Tomorrow is the deadline for meter submission so maybe this will trigger next stage? I submitted the reading on day 1. Anyone any idea what triggers the account registering?

Couldnt leave not charging any longer so had to put 45 or so kw in last night at 35p kw. Did 100 miles today at 40kw per 100 mile. I know I’m being tight but have been used to 5p per kWh for 2 years! More expensive than petrol at these rates! Hopefully something will happen tomorrow with the account. I’ve been trying on web browser version and app version of account daily. Take it I’m not missing something obvious? Will try calling them tomorrow but previous attempts to call haven’t been successful!

It is triggered by the meters registering with their system. You should get two messages on your IHD. I got the gas meter message on day 1 and the electricity meter message two days later. See images below....

I appear to be stuck at the same stage as you with my OVO switch. Meter readings were submitted and still waiting...
Don't actually have the car yet so not too much of an issue at the moment but should be collecting in the next couple of days.
