I planned my switch to OVO for today 14th some time ago. This morning I sent in my meter reading & then set about initiating Charge Anytime. I could not find any help on the website so I phoned OVO EV number 03303035059. They checked my car was compatible & then told me to download the Charge Anytime app & sync it with the car. All seems to be set up & ready to go, but I won’t know until I return from the weekend trip I am on & need to recharge.

How do you log into the charge anytime app though? I’ve downloaded CA app but when I enter my email and password for my main Ovo log in as it requests it doesn’t work? I’m presuming this is as the main app/ account still says they are working in setting up my account?

Is your switch fully complete? Can you log into the OVO Energy App?

It will not let you log into Charge Anytime App until both meters have initialised on their system. This took a couple of days for me after I was "on supply "

Switched to OVO for the Charge Anytime benefits. The account is finally up and running. Went to add Charge Anytime, only to be told I'm "not eligible at this time" ... Customer services don't appear to work weekends
but it would appear that the WAN light on my meter, flashing every second indicates a connection issue. Hopefully, this can be rectified and solve my eligibility problem.

Do you have an in home display? If so go to messages and see if either gas or electricity meter has initialised on OVO

I have only this morning plugged the IHD back in. Never bothered with it before. Its the original one that came with my Smart Meter installation and switch to NPower. Then switched to British Gas and now to OVO...
anyway... the IHD doesn't have any Messages for me. It's definitely paired with the meter, as it is showing a correct meter reading. I'm hoping it might just be a temporary connection issue with the Meter and will rectify itself.
Considered pulling the main incoming fuse for a classic 'turn off and on again'... but obviously it has the crimped tamper-proof cord. I won't mess with it :)

also... my gas meter is NOT Smart. It's of a "commercial" size so Smart wasn't an option at time of installation. I assumed this wouldn't be an issue with OVO and the Elctricity side of the account

The messages should also be available on the meter itself if you can find them. I assume you have a SMETS2 meter?

Have just done some further digging into forums and it would appear that my particular meter is going through a "migration to DCC" process... this would certainly explain the lack of connectivity.
I'll speak with OVO asap and get their take on it.
Car's still sat at Grimsby at the moment anyway so I have time.

Hi, no, nothings changed in 8 days. Still says setting account up on app and also web browser. The post I replied to seem to suggest they had switched and got charges anytime set up on the same day, hence my question.

On a slightly separate note, my in home display appears to be showing the new standard tariff Ovo day rate, but def no messages. It’s picking up my normal energy use but when I’ve charged my car it’s not registering the extra kws? Charged car for 4 hours last night and on the smart meter just had 80p or so which is the standing charge and a little over night usage. This has happened 3 times now. Don’t really get this as surely the pod point is just wired to the electric and changing tariff wouldn’t change anything?

Has your standard Ovo account been set up ok? Or is the lack of connectivity delaying this?

I have a commercial gas unit which they could not convert to a smart meter. I had a smart meter fitted to my electricity with a previous supplier and then was moved to OVO last year (they honoured my tariff contract until this July). I was therefore just a coincidence I was with them when I got my Taycan and found out about the charge anytime tariff. It just worked from the charge anytime app once I did the setup process on there.

They are coming out to fit a smart meter to my gas next month but the point is you only need a smart meter on your electricity ;-)

I'm guessing they haven't found your electricity meter yet. My gas meter initialised with OVO on day one but it was a further 2 days before my electricity meter initialised on OVO and the account set up completed then I was able to log in on both OVO Energy App and their Charge Anytime App

From your previous posts I was thinking similar, but not really clear on what’s needed for it to be found! On the outside meter and IHD it shows the new unit rate so it must have found it to do this surely?
