Check this - I grabbed a screenshot from the Bose site before it gets taken down. Bose states 14 speakers and had a video illustration. There is no reason to believe the CT had a different setup. I have a CT4 and I’m pretty sure 14 was the stated speaker. count.

Slightly different. BMW is just greedy and looking for more revenue sources. They didn't dilute existing feature for which people paid for up front.

For the record I was not in anyway saying these practices are the exact same, just that the sentiment behind them is similar, i.e., anti-consumer.

Dealer reached out to me to state that they had to remove the BOSE sound system from my build (past freeze point date). Anyone have any info about how long delays might be for?

News side-swept me since I care about audio quality and was looking forward to it.

My dealer said on this Saturday that the Bose radio system will not be available all of 2023 for ALL Taycan models . I just received my allocation on this Saturday for the Taycan cross tourismo 4 s, and only radio I could get is the Porsche one.

Is this for all new orders or also existing allocations beyond freeze point? Anyone with allocation beyond freeze point with 4s or up who got their Bose canceled? I ordered a CT4s in Germany but dealer didn't mention anything yet (past freeze point, delivery end November).

This is an ongoing saga unfortunately and the (mis)information appears to vary from country to country and dealer to dealer.

I have been informed that, in the UK, only base models (Taycan, CT4, ST) will not receive the Bose system until further notice. The UK configurator matches this. My CT4S is due to be delivered in December and my SA stated that the factory have confirmed it will have Bose.

The loss of Bose for all 2023 models in the USA seems extreme and certainly an escalation from what has previously been reported.

Agreed....I think it'll continue to affect RWD and CT4 in the U.S. I don't think PCNA would want to sell a Turbo with the standard system, especially since Burmester is also on constraint.

I don’t think that’s the case. I have a base ST order, delivery due Nov 18, and my SA confirmed with the factory that my car will have Bose. I am in the UK.

No surprise - no two dealers appear to be saying the same thing probably because Porsche’s communication is so pants.

Good to hear you’re getting the Bose option though. My SA had to call a list of customers with the bad news only last month and all of them were base model orders. God only knows what the actual situation really is.

My car (RWD) is now in Production, so delivery expected mid/late Nov - No idea if it will come with Bose or without. Interesting that others are getting more definitive statements from their respective SA's, although I'd personally not take too much comfort from what being said! My Dealer calling it straight, sitting on the fence and stating that until the car is built and final spec sheet provided then it could be either scenario.

I'm back into the mindset of, sitting-tight, waiting patiently and going to see what gets delivered! After-all, with or with Bose its one hell of a car to own and drive

My 2023 GTS is currently in production as of last week, and it still has Bose in the configuration. I did not get any notice from Porsche or my dealer that Bose would be removed. I did get notice that the VLC roof was being removed and replaced with standard fixed glass pano roof, and the msrp adjusted accordingly.
