It would be nice if Porsche understood the idea of a redundant system....
I run a business specialising in QA/Testing of IT systems. The number of organisations that have no real appreciation of this concept still surprises me. Of course now things are moving to the Cloud, they now think it's somebody else's problem when in fact, it's still their system and customers who bear the brunt when it goes wrong. Still, it keeps me in work.

If you shake the app from side to side you can submit a gripe to Porsche. You can also suggest to them (although this is futile) that they should have (a) independently hosted status page; (b) an app that handles server failures in a useful way.

I got this generic stuff back (at 1542 UK time):
Porsche AG has informed us about the current disruptions affecting the My Porsche App. They have advised that these issues may take up to 24-48 hours to resolve. Should you continue to experience difficulties after this period, please feel free to reply to this email, and we will assist you further.

Mine is back up now too.

Set my car to charge to 85% last night and it charged to 100%. Not a disaster, but clearly because Octopus could not connect with the car.
I phoned Porsche yesterday as it was coincidence that I didn't renew the tracker and I thought they took all my connectivity down! Mine stopped charging on OE at about 01.00 yesterday morning and luckily gave me enough charge for the day as it lost connectivity when the app went down. Charged fine last night again.

Mine failed to charge last night where Charge Anytime couldn’t communicate with the car after 1am. Means I started the day facing a long journey with not enough charge. Didn’t help that I decided to stop at a Shell 175kw station in Salisbury that was all coned off too. Oh and of course the car was iced up, as it is every time I need Porsche connect to work

Updated app released last night fixed the widget problems. Servers came back up midday which fixed the app comms problems.

Not their finest hour but they aren't the first to make these kind of slips. Tesla have done far far worse.
