Dang sorry to hear. So does that mean your car is completely out of warranty or does the original warranty is still in effect?
Original warranty still intact, in fact it has additional years (I think 2) of warranty on the part that was replaced after Porsche bought back to fix it.

I would be seriously wary of any claims about warranty existence on the car, and even proceeding on the car without a much bigger discount than you noted.

You have already been sold a pup in terms of the extended warranty. I would bet large that there were terms buried in that (in plain site or not) that meant Porsche were covered - these guys spend a lot of money on lawyers!

If they can.... bend/hide the truth on that, there'll be no limits.

As noted, it's a buyers' market. Don't let heart rule head any more ?

Nah, the factory warranty is intact. There’s no question about that.

For anyone who might be following this thread and considering a similar situation, I thought it might be helpful to show you the actual disclosure form that Porsche NA uses. This is not a state-specific form. Note the highlighted part about warranty on the second page.

I feel very good about my purchase. I hope @turtletaycan does as well.

BTW, in my case a separate state-specific form, signed by a Porsche NA rep, indicates that my car was reacquired by Porsche due to "Faulty HV battery." I believe the HV battery was replaced. I have an appointment to take it to the Porsche dealer in a couple weeks in connection with the ARB6/WRS1 recall (which was issued AFTER Porsche NA fixed and auctioned my vehicle). Hopefully they will confirm that my HV battery has already been replaced and therefore doesn't have any issues. If it was not replaced, then of course I am just in the same boat (relative to HV battery issues) as every other Taycan owner. In the meantime, I freaking love the car!

Replaced or not I don't believe there are any pre-24 (possibly all, even MY25) Taycan batteries which are free from potential future defects - it seems to be endemic in the cell construction/chemistry.

Same here, I still look at autotrader daily and did not find anything with the options that I want. And the ones with similar options but different color is priced at $20k-ish higher (although something around $10k~$15k higher will surface I'm sure).
Even if I sell it later I'll come out ahead, for example, let's say after 8 years or so the car price drops to around 30~40k (just random numbers). At that price, discounting mine for 10k less than the market price will make it easy to sell.

Well, unless something catastrophic happens and you're no longer under warranty. But hey YOLO. I'm loving my lemon CT Turbo in the meantime

Yeah, however, I don't see that being any different for non-lemon Taycans.
I think the Taycan lemon situation is a bit more unique because there were tons of buybacks caused by early electrical issues that Porsche either didn't have parts for or didn't know how to fix properly.

As long as those were completely fixed or completely replaced (e.g., via battery replacement) and as long as it's currently under warranty I don't see it being any different than the other non-lemon Taycans.
If something catastrophic happens few years down the line? That's likely unrelated to the vehicle being a lemon.
The only real bad scenario would be purchasing a lemon and within few weeks it starts having the same problems again.
