you have to wonder how some on this board compain about depreciation, and then scare someone interested in the car out of the purchase with their unsubstantiated comments, that only serves to hurt the cars reputation and cause even futher depreciation.

Anyway, with that said, I do agree that you should not buy without some sort of warranty. ask to have car put on lift and look at bottom to check for any damage to battery case. also, you can easily check battery soh, which you should do.

i have owned mine for 2 years and have had exactly zero issues. ?

I bought a used 2020 4S with 5K miles for 72K through CarMax. It has all the preferred options (sport chrono, air suspension, bigger battery, etc, all I am missing is rear steering).

I did get an extended warranty but not CPO through Porsche. Battery has 8-year warranty through Porsche on all Taycans.

Mine has been great with no major issues so far. I did all the recall stuff except for this new battery recall that's been discussed on these forums.

I have had it since early summer and currently it has about 8600 miles on it now. I drive it to and from work daily, about 36 miles round trip, and short trips around town. Thats pretty much all I use it for.

I agree lots of horror stories on here, but you what you don't hear is all the happy people.

Hopefully mine continues to function as expected. I do love the car as a daily driver; however, I would never buy one new. The depreciation is just insane. No offense to those that do, but I can't justify being in that situation when I got mine with 5K miles for half the price of what it was new. Granted you don't have the full factory warranty and peace of mind, but I think there are other reasonable extended warranties out there or CPO.

CPO is best since you need a good Porsche dealership to be your friend. They will CPO, make sure all recalls are done, can measure SoH or we can tell you how, and then we can help you save money on maintenance with some simple DYI and price negotiation. There is really no maintenance on the car to speak of with tires and alignment probably being the biggest expense, but dealers jack up hourly rates to make money anyway. Also, I would find more comparable examples to help negotiate final price if you are set on this one.

This one is very loaded, but somehow missing the Sports Chrono, which is not a deal braker, as you still get the Sport Mode. Also, please check if it has Air Suspension as Standard Equipment as it is not listed on the sticker. If not, then you will get a Steel Suspension with no adjustments, which is fine suspension but Air Suspension on this MSRP expensive of an example is expected.
Air suspension is standard on the 4S. Agree it's awesome

2020 MY with all the recall done is the same as the following years, except 2020 has a slightly better battery warranty? It doesn't have plug and charge available to 2021+ but that's not important at all to most people.

This particular car is missing the performance package which really improves the handling during spirited drives. With how cheap used cars are selling, I wouldn't buy one without this package. I bought a CPO taycan last week after extensive search, I can tell you this car is slightly above market average currently, but not horribly priced. I bet you can trim off a few thousand if you're good negotiator.

Consider buying a CPO like many mentioned.

How so? I think the warranty is the same for all year models.

A dealership salesman told me that 2020 being the first year with all the recalls, was given a longer battery warranty, 10 years instead of 8 years, to ease customer concerns.

But as I do a search now, I'm seeing this may not be correct. Hmmm, I'll need to dig into it.

8 years and 100k miles is minimum government standard.
I can see that for California only, it may have been 10 years.
